Chapter 47 - Caring

It felt like eternity waiting for Sunny. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep.

   When I had woke up it was already 8 and the lights were off in the daycare. I slowly walked out of my room and looked around. Or rather, I wondered without being able to see shit.

   "Moon?" I called out as I headed towards one of the play structures.

   Suddenly, I was pulled into the air by two arms above me. "MOON!" Before I knew it, we were on the balcony and he was... hugging me?

   "Moony...?" As soon as I spoke he pushed me away.

   "What were you thinking?! Did your little human brain short circuit and think you're Sun? God you're an idiot!"

   As he rambled about how irresponsible I was, I couldn't help but smile. He glared at me, "Why the Fuck are you smiling right now?"

   Now that just made me laugh. "Well you're basically admitting that you care about me." I couldn't see very well but I swear I could see his face plate have a slight pink hue.

   "No."

   "Yes..."

   "No.

    "Don't deny it!"

    "Shut up."

I just laughed more. "Stop laughing at me." I shook my head, "No no! I'm not laughing at you!" He gave me the look of 'oh really? Then what are you doing?'

"I'm more of just generally laughing! It's not at you! And if you were laughing too, I'd be laughing with you!"

He sighed and stood up straight. "Don't ever jump again."

I smiled and hugged him. Surprisingly, he didn't pull away or push me or anything. He just sat there, letting me hug him. "I won't!"

He nodded slowly and I eventually let go of him. Moon picked me up and stepped up onto the railing. "I thought you didn't want me jumping?" I teased.

"This isn't jumping and this isn't you jumping. It still stands." He then stepped forward and the wire let up down slowly until Moon's foot could touch the floor. He put me down.

"You I won't ever forget this moment."

Moon stared at me with a look of confusion. "And why is that...?"

"Because it proves you have a heart and that you aren't just a corrupted object. You're just like me, flesh or not."

He just stared at me for a long while before finally looking away, "Now why would I want to be a bag of flesh? Sounds awful."

I laughed and he laughed a bit too. I wish it could be like this all the time.

I really wish it could.
