Both Moon and I knew it would be better for him to be turned off so I'd be able to access his face plate and use my computer to look at his memory chip.
Moondrop laid down on his bed and I got him connected to my computer. "Are you ready?" I asked him, ready to power him off. He nodded slowly, "Don't you remember? I trust you." A sudden memory came back to me.
I clicked the button, allowing Moony to move again. He turned around quickly, "What are you—?!" Moon paused. "I didn't close the panel! Bend back down here!"
He bent down so I could reach and I closed the panel on the back of his head. Moony turned back to face me with a slightly confused expression. "Why did you do that...?" He asked.
I giggled. I wasn't sure why I was so confident but I knew he would never hurt me. "I trust you!"
"Why... Why did you tell me about the Virus or whatever it is...? You could've written a note for Sun. Why tell me this information...?" I asked Moony.
He chuckled as if it was a funny coincidence or something. "As you said, 'I trust you'." Moony then flicked on the lights and He changed into Sun.
I smiled at Moon before powering him off. Without wasting any time, I started looking for the virus in his code. Checking in the smallest places.
After an hour or so of looking, I found something. A file labeled "Unknown.exe" I clicked on it and it brought up a whole separate Ai. I got to reading immediately.
I found out that it was supposed to be a fail safe. In case of emergency, it would activate. But it got corrupted and it was never used.
"Turn on... turn on..." I muttered to myself as I waited for Moon to power back on. He opened his eyes and blinked before sitting up.
Moon looked around and waved at me. "Hello friend, you should be asleep, shouldn't you?" I stared at him with a confused expression.
"What are you talking ab—" I started before I noticed small glitches in his eyes. "Are you okay...?" He nodded, "Yes, of course. Let's get you to bed now, shall we?"
He stood up, ready to leave with me but I didn't move. "Are you sure you're okay Moony?" He froze and stared at me. "Moony?" I repeated.
Moondrop approached me and slowly bent down and grabbed my hand. He slowly kissed it with one hand holding mine and his other underneath ours. "Sorry about that, Starlight~"
I could feel my face turn red. "Moon what are you..." He stood up straight, still holding my hand. Moondrop slowly let go and I couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed.
"I'm sorry if I was acting weird." He said. I shrugged, recalling how he was acting. "You just acted like... I don't know... like Sunny... but calmer..." He froze when I said that.
"Is something wrong, Moony?" He shook his head slowly, "I'm alright, I just didn't know that... nevermind." I looked up at him. "You're avoiding something that you don't want to talk about again~" I sang.
He scoffed, "I just mean that what I thought you had meant was impossible." Well now I'm intrigued. "And that was...?"
Moon sighed, "Before the... thing happened... I was programmed to be a lot like Sun. But slowly I started bugging out and glitching until eventually it got to the day..."
I reached up and placed my hand on his cheek. "It's alright, I get it if you're uncomfortable talking about that..." He shook his head, "Just... Tell me what you found or didn't find."
