It felt like forever until the last child was picked up. Luckily, Moon scared the kids bad enough that they were calm for almost the rest of the day. I mean, yes, a few outbursts, but it's a bunch of children. What do you expect?
As soon as the child and their parents left, I started to look for whatever place led to Sun and Moon's room. It shouldn't be that hard to find right...?
...
...I couldn't find it. I yelled out to Sundrop, "Sunny! Little help? How do I get up there?!" He came out of his room and smiled before leaping into the ballpit.
I didn't see him get out of the ballpit so I walked over to the edge and looked around. Where did he go? All of a sudden, I stepped on a ball and almost fell into the ball pit but I felt a hand grab the back of my shirt collar, helping me up.
I turned around to see Sun standing there. "Hey Sunny! You ready for me to help fix you?" He nodded and started heading to... my room..? "Sunny...?" He turned to me. "Aren't we going to do the repairs in your room?"
He chuckled nervously, "Yeah uhm... why do we have to do them in our room again?" I shrugged. I mean... I guess we didn't HAVE to... "I just thought it would be easier and maybe a bit more private or uh... comfortable...?"
Sundrop nodded, "Yeah... I'll take you up right now!" He picked me up bridal style, the same as Moon did. "Sunny! I still need my tools and the manual!" Sun apologized and set me down.
I headed to my little security desk thingy and grabbed the manual from one of the drawers. It took me a minute but I eventually found the tool box and ran over to Sun.
He smiled and went to pick me up but I quickly moved away, "Sun! Are you sure there isn't any other way up there...?" For some reason he looked a bit disappointed, as if he wanted to carry me.
"Yes! I just... thought it'd be quicker! Sorry..." He excused. I smiled at his apology. "It's alright Sunny. Now, where is that other way?"
He showed me a way behind the play structure. No wonder I didn't see it. It was hidden. Sundrop also told me there was a way through the theater that led to this same hallway. Eventually we reached the door to his room.
I opened the door and Sun followed me in. I realized that even though yes, I'd been in here before and the lights were turned on at a point, but I didn't get a good look with the lights on
I looked around and saw the two beds that I didn't get why they had them. Do they even sleep? I walked over to Sun's bed and put my tool box next to it and waited for him.
Sundrop walked over. "Sit." He did as he was told and sat down on the bed. Not even thinking about it, I started to lift up his shirt and he quickly grabbed my hand to stop me.
When I looked up at him, his face was flushed with pink. He turned his head away quickly. "Sunny?" I asked him. "Are you okay?"
He nodded, "Yes! I'm fine. I just... didn't think you were going to have to..." And that's when I realized what I was doing and let go of his shirt. I felt my face get red too. "Oh my god— I'm so fucking sorry Sunny!"
He turned to me, "Language!" I apologize again, "I'm so sorry Sunny... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable like that. I'll give you warning and ask for things like that next time." Sundrop smiled at that.
I didn't even know an animatronic could get flustered... Why didn't I stop to think before doing something like that? I would've if it was a human... actually... if it was a human and they had a cut or something, I'd probably do the same...
"If you'd like, I could shut you o—" "NO!" He yelled, cutting me off. "Alright... I was just asking to make sure you're not too uncomfortable with anything I might have to do..."
He smiled uneasily, "it's alright! Do whatever you need to do! You don't even have to ask before you do!" I stared at him for a moment, silence filling the room before I finally broke it. "You sure?" He nodded quickly. "Alright..."
I opened the manual and set it on the bed before grabbing some of the tools I needed and I sat on his lap. I lifted his shirt slightly and started opening the part of the chest plate that had the wire sticking out.
After a few times of me trying to move around him so that I could reach the wire properly, I eventually just gave up and sat down on his lap.
It was a minute or two of me working before I realized that Sundrop was starting to burn up. I looked up at him and saw that his face was extremely red. In a panic, I put my hands on his face, "Sun are you—?!"
I pulled my hands away quickly once I felt his face, it wasn't super hot that it hurt but it was definitely surprising. "Sun, are you okay?!" He nodded quickly, "Sorry... my cooling systems are active now but they are usually off during repairs because it could mess with things. This doesn't usually happen..."
I sighed. "I'll try to be quick with the wire." I didn't want his cooling systems to mess with anything else so I tried to go as fast as I could to get the wire where it was supposed to be and close the panel.
Finally I managed to close the panel before the lights turned off. I looked up at the lights before looking back down to see Moon there instead.
"What a nice surprise~"
