It was nice out. It was a slightly warm night so I didn't need a jacket. My car was still in the employee parking.

I remember the last time that I had gone out Moon had... I don't really like to think about that...

I unlocked the car and sat down. It was nice to be able to drive around again. I started the car and pulled out of the parking lot.

Soon I arrived at my house. I would call it home but it's not really much of a home to me anymore.

I packed some of the things that I had wanted to take back to the daycare before hauling it all into the car.

And I drove back to the daycare.

   ...

Did you actually believe that? Yeah, no. I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner so I stopped at a nearby diner that was still open.

I ordered myself one of old favorite meals and allowed myself to relax a bit as I ate. Later I walked through the park. It was really nice.

Eventually I realized that it was already 2 AM and I should probably get back to the daycare. Yet when I drove back and walked up to the door it was locked and my keycard wouldn't open it.

That's weird... guess I'll have to come back tomorrow... I hope Moon won't be too mad.

I did still try other doors but my keycard didn't work for any of them so I drove back home.

At least I wasn't locked out of my own house or anything. I went ahead and set my alarm to wake up. I got cozy and laid down.

   I couldn't sleep.

All that was going through my brain was Sun and Moon. What if Moon would be mad at me leaving for longer? What if Sun freaks out about where I am?

Luckily I was able to sleep after about 30 minutes of sitting there. Didn't sleep well though.

In the morning my alarm woke me up and I yawned and stretched before I made my way out the door and drove back to the daycare.

I arrive at 7:30, still plenty early. I ended up having to go through the front entrance instead. I headed in and left straight for the daycare. The fastest way in was my favorite way.

A smile appeared on my face as I read the ever so famous sign, 'Slide Into Fun'.

I made my way over and headed down the slide, landed in the ballpit balls at the bottom.

Sun picked me straight up, "Sorry little one, the daycare isn't open unti— Oh! Sunshine!" He put me down.

I honestly expected more of a reaction than th—

"WHERE WERE YOU?! WHY WEREN'T YOU HERE?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BACK BY YESTERDAY!!"

There is was.

I chuckled nervously, "I tried, Sunny! But the doors were locked and my keycard wasn't working!"

Sun tilted his head, "Who locked the door? I know that a keycard can become inactive after too long of not using it, but you can just change it out easily."

"So basically, the door didn't actually lock, someone else locked it, and I couldn't get in?" I asked him.

He just nodded.

"Still, who locked it—"

I got cut off by a noise by the big daycare doors. One of them opened and someone walked in with a daycare badge and everything.

"Hey!! This is the daycare, right?"
