I had been working at the daycare for 3 months now. Sunny and I are as close as ever and he knows basically everything about me by now. Except for of course the secret between me and Moon.

Moon and I had been spending the first parts of the nights trying to get into the lost AI's system so maybe I could try to shut it completely down. That was the only real solution we could think of.

To shut it down or even recode it.

I mean, we had other ideas too that we are trying... Moon and I have been starting with simple talks to get him used to regular conversation.

We started with things like "How was you day?" And other basic things like that. Soon we started to try other types of conversation, hoping to get him used to not blowing up with anger.

Of course we didnt go too big but instead small disagreements with him trying to stay calm.

Slowly but surely he's getting better. Which is good. Why wouldn't it be?

...

...What if he's not Moony anymore again...?

"Starlight, are you alright?"

I blinked and looked up at Moon. "Yeah, sorry! I zoned out a bit." He nodded, "What is on your mind?"

"I'd rather not talk about it..."

"Tell me."

"Moon—"

   "I SAID TE—"

He quickly stopped himself. Moon really was getting better...

   "Ugh... Please?"

I smiled softly at the effort. "It's just... What if you aren't the same?" He looked puzzled with my question. "What if it's like with the device I had made? And you act... weird again... or like when I rebooted you and you kissed my hand and all—"

   "I what?"

I blinked and looked up at him. Did I not tell him or...? I guess I thought he just remembered it happened.

"Yeah, after I rebooted you and turned you back on and thought I was a child or something and tried to put me to sleep. You acted like a calm version of Sunny... then it's like you were loading or something. You froze. Then you kissed my hand and said you were sorry for acting weird. After that you told me that you programmed to be like Sun but then you started bugging and all. And... then I told you about the other AI."

He went quiet after that. "Moony... you alright...?"

"I only remember me telling you that I was programmed to be like Sun but I don't remember before that..."

How come he didn't remember that? Did he bug out or something? I wonder...

   "Hey, it's getting pretty late..."

Moon nodded, "You should rest before work tomorrow." I nodded and walked towards the door, "Why do we have to work weekends aswell again?"

Moon chuckled, "Because before you were hired they had robots who had nothing better to do."

I didn't like the way that he put it but I knew he was right. "Hey uh, do you care if I go out tonight? I just want to get a few things from home and generally walk around town since it's been a while since I've done that."

Moon just glared at me, "You can't—" He groaned, "Whatever, go."

I smiled before walking out the door and heading to my room. Quickly, I got dressed. I grabbed my bag and my key to both the daycare and on the same key ring, my house key.

I headed towards the exit and for the first time in a long time, I left the daycare.
