It takes a while for Karson and Link to come out of the spare room so I go down stairs and pour myself another glass of vodka
I'm almost half way finished when they come down "Hey mon ange" Link says sitting beside him but I just burry my face in the cup "whats in there?" He asks his tone slightly more defensive
"Why do you care?" I ask mirroring his words from earlier
"Come on Zel, don't be like that" he says putting his arm around me but I just shrug him off "are you drunk?" He asks smelling the stench of Vodka that surrounded me "how much Vodka have you had?" He asks and I shrug
"Half a cup and a bit" I say resting my head on his shoulder and he puts his arm back around me "I'm sorry" I say tears falling from my eyes
"Hey, it's okay!" He says gently caressing my arm "everything is sorted" he whispers kissing me on the head
"So are you two okay now?" Karson asks sitting down parallel from us
"I think so" Link says
"Did you actually cancel the whole ass party just for us" I say with a hiccup and I hear Link laugh at me
"Yeah, you're my mates. I'm not going to sit and watch whilst you guys are evidently struggling" he says leaning forward "and I sure as fuck wasnt going to let anyone else see because once upon a time you were my best mate and a bond like that always stays" he says
Link smiles at him just as I start to close my eyes and fall asleep on Link's shoulder
Link's pov
"I think Zelda's fell asleep" Karson says and I look down at the sleeping goddess
"Probably for the best, she needs to sleep off that alcohol" I say and Karson nods
"So, how you been?" He asks and I let out a gentle sigh
"It's been difficult I'll tell you that" I say "it's been really hard on Zelda" I sigh looking back down at her and gently brushing her hair away from her face "how have you been?" I ask
"It's been alright, me and Hilda have been on and off but she goes to Ganon whenever he beckons her" he says with a sigh, "she's been through a lot in life, she deserves better than him"
"She's equally as bad!" I protest
"To some people she is but deep down she's just scared" he says
"She tried to force herself on me!" I say
"She's got a fucked up mind!" He says not too loud afraid of waking Zelda "you don't know what Ravio and Hilda have been through Link!" He says
"And you do?"
"I've been told! I've learnt because I live with them their traumatised, simple things can make them snap" he says and I feel Zelda squirm
"Okay" I whisper kissing Zelda's head
"She just doesn't need Ganondorf poking around" he says
"Nor did Zelda" I say getting quite annoyed, Hilda and Ravio aren't the only 2 people in the world that had tough childhoods, I had a hard childhood and so has Zelda but we don't force ourselves on people when they evidently don't want it!
