"You can go in now" ms ashai says with a gentle smile snd I nod returning the smile
"Hello Father," I say walking in
"Hello Zelda" he says not looking up at me just marking something or filling in a form I don't know
"Father...I was wondering" I say nerves bubbling in my stomach
"What do you need Zelda?" He asks finally looking up at me
"Since when did you wear glasses?" I ask accidentally changing the subject
"I only wear them when I work, so what do you need" he asks and I take a deep breath "can we make this quick I have a meeting in 15 minutes" he says
I cant tell him it's family issues because he is my family he'd know if something happened "I need cover for around 3 days" I say
"Why?" He asks
"Oh...well I was offered some training in America" I say and he laughs
"You were so desperate to get away from America and now your willingly going there" he says and I nod "okay, I'll get you the cover, but I want you to come in for the whole term after this" he said and I nod
"Thank you Father!" I say with a bright smile and he gets up picking up his paper work
"When are you leaving?" He asks walking out of his office beside me
"Today" I say and he looks at me in shock
"Thats short notice Zelda, poor planning" he says and I sigh, I thought we were finally getting somewhere
"I'm sorry" I say in a sarcastic tone and we both sigh in sync
"Well you should get off to the airport" he says and I nod "do you want me to drop you off?" He asks
"I thought you had a meeting" I say and he nods
"I do" he says "but I could send someone to drop you off" he says with a warm smile
"Oh it's okay I can get Link to drop me off" I say
"But he has work" father noted
"Yes, yes he does" I say thinking about a way I could get to the airport
"I'll get Bazz to drop you off" he says
"Who will guard the house?" I ask
"I'll call Teake, I have more than one guard you know, you only saw Bazz though" he says, I've lived there all my life so how have I only met 1 guard "I'll get him to pick you up now I've got to go" he says pulling out his phone and kissing my head
"Thanks dad" I say and he was a bit taken a back at first but then he smiled at me and nodded before walking away
I wait outside of the uni and wait for Bazz "are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Link asks coming over to me "it is my problem after all"
"It's our problem, what ever is troubling you will trouble me too" I say smiling at him "and I don't think dad will let you have cover, I haven't told him the truth and when I told him you'd drop me off at the airport he said you have work" I say and Link nods
"Dad?" He asks with a small smile
"Yeah, we're getting on really well after Rauru had a word. I don't know what he said but our relationship is much better" I say and I notice Link's smile is now a frown "I'm sorry that was so insensitive of me" I say and he shakes his head
"No, it's nice to here you and your dad are getting on" he says as Bazz pulls up
"I love you, and I'll try my best but I cant promise she'll move" I say giving him a good bye kiss before getting in the car "hey bazz"
"Miss Hyrule" he says
"When father isn't here you can drop the formalities" I say and he nods
"Of course Zelda, you needed to go to the Airport?" He asks and I nod
"Yes please Bazz" I say putting on my seatbelt

I get to the airport and go through security and all the other airport stuff, I go to the shops to see if I can get something nice for Aryll
*are you on the plane yet?* Link texts, he shouldnt be on his phone when he's teaching
*no, have you let your mum know I'm coming?* I text back looking around the small shop
*yeah, I'm ngl I think she's a bit scared of you* he texts and I feel guilty, I have been really horrible to her in the past
I don't answer him and just look around the shop when my eyes land on a cute seagull teddy *does Aryll like Seagulls?*
*she loves them why?*
*I'm going to get her a teddy* I text, I feel sorry for Link and Aryll I couldn't even begin to imagine what it was like to grow up with an abusive parent
I knew what it was like to grow up with absent parents, but I had Urbosa...most of the time, there would be some times where I would just be alone, that was only when I was older though
Urbosa never left me alone as a child
The speaker announced that the gate for my plane was opening so I quickly buy the teddy before making my way to the gate
