It didn't feel as long as it took to get my father office back in order but when I walk out of his office and lock up it's already dark

I almost screamed when I saw Link asleep on the chairs outside the office "Jesus Christ!" I yelled waking him up "what are you doing?" I ask clutching my heart

"I'm being your bodyguard" he says

"Theres no point if your asleep" I say in a cold voice, pulling out a pack of cigs

"I'm sorry! Okay? My memory hasn't been the best since the fire" he says

"Yeah I know" I say lighting it as I walk out of the room and into the hallway "you coming?" I ask and he gets up and quickly runs over to me

"I didn't mean to upset you" he says

"Okay" I answer through an exhale of smoke "I'm gonna go to the shops, do we need anything?" I ask

"Zel please stop being so cold to me" he says

"Does Epona need anymore food?" I ask bringing the cigarette back up to my mouth

"Zelda!" He says in a strong voice and when I didn't stop he grabbed my arm causing me to drop my cigarette

"Link! Why did you do that?" I asked with an annoyed tone, now stamping out my cigarette so it doesn't burn down the school...again

"Listen to me for one second" he says staring into my eyes "are you listening?" He asks lifting my chin so I'm looking into his eyes with his other hand

"What?" I asked

"I trust you, I believe you and I love you okay?" He says with a warm smile

"I love you too" I say and he places a small kiss on my lips "thank you for trusting me" I say hugging him

"Theres no reason for me not to" he says wrapping his arms around my waist "you still going to the shop?"

"Nah" I say pulling out of his hug "can we just go home?" I ask and he nods

"Of course Princess" he says walking out of the building with his hand in my back pocket

"I promise theres nothing going on between me and Ganondorf or Ghirahim" I say purposely making sure to say Ganondorf and not Ganon

"I know" he says kissing my forehead before opening my door so I can get into the car

The car ride home was more of an awkward silence than a comfortable one, there was a high tension in the air

"I wonder how Mipha and Revali are doing" I say speaking my mind, clearing the air a bit

"We should go and visit them one day" he says and I nod, it was still extremely uncomfortable "Fi talked to me" he says and I roll my eyes

"Of course she did" I say with a sour look on my face

"Why are you so against her?" He asks

"Is your memory really that bad today?" I ask, maybe I just assumed he knew when he said the whole pub could hear us screaming at each other, they didn't necessarily know what we were screaming about

"She's sabotaged us Link! Multiple times in our relationship, she's hurt Impa! She's flirted with you right infront of my eyes" I say and he sighs

"Well she just said happy birthday" he says he says in a pissed off tone

"Your being really annoying tonight" I whisper

"I'm being really annoying?" He asks in a voice of disbelief "thats rich coming from you"

"Not even a day after our wedding and now--oh shit, Riju" I say before fumbling with my phone
