Father invited us to dinner and the bad news inevitably came out
"I'm sorry Link" Father said in an insincere tone, "are you looking for another job?" He asks and Link nods
"I am actually, I've applied to be a Coach at Hylia" he says and father almost chokes on his wine and we both stare at him in shock
"When did you do that?" I ask smiling at him, I would love for Link to work at Hylia but I have a feeling Father isn't fond of the idea
I don't know what happened between Link and Father but theres been some tension in the air ever since my graduation and Link talked to my father at graduation
"A few hours after I found out, Urbosa put the idea in my mind" he says and I take a large sip from my wine, I can feel that my father is going to start an argument
"Why didn't you tell me?" I ask him
"It was going to be a surprise, and I didn't want to tell you for me to say I was rejected" he says and I smile at him
"Your too amazing to get rejected" I say before turning to my Father, I take one massive sip from my wine and stand up "Can I have a word with you?" I ask and he nods
We step outside and close the door so Link cant hear, "What happened on my Graduation day?" I ask him
"Well you got your diploma in Psychology--" he says but I cut him off
"Not that! Between you and Link" I say quietly
The Graduation
(Before the ceremony)
Link's pov
I open the box another time and stare at the beautiful diamond encrusted ring inside whilst reciting what I was going to say to Mr Hyrule in my head
"This better be quick Link, I'm running a bit late" he says catching me off guard, I quickly close the box and hide it in my pocket
"Mr Hyrule, I love your daughter and I'm here to ask for your blessing to marry her" I say, that was nothing like I rehearsed
"Oh" he says in shock "I'm sorry Link" he says and my heart drops "my daughter is going great places in her life, she doesn't need you dragging her behind" he says before walking out
Present day
Zelda's pov
"WHAT!" I yelled "you didn't give us your blessing!" I say very annoyed at him
"No Zelda, your going places!" He says
"Yeah back to a University no where special! If anything I'm dragging him down from him football career" I yell at him
"One that he just lost due to his immaturity!" He yells back "I've told you this many times before Zelda, he brings trouble!" Father says, I cant believe this!
"Com--" I start to say as opening the doors but I soon realise that the room is empty "Link?" I call for him, maybe he went to help a maid, I tell myself before seeing an open window
He wouldn't just abandon me like this, thats not Link, has he been kidnapped? "Link!" I yell out the window in a more desperate voice
"He's not there" Father says,
"No." I say tears running down my cheeks "he has to be" I say "LINK!" I cry my voice completely broken "please come back!" He has to be out there somewhere
