REN and The Heartless Devil

CHAPTER XXXII

8:20 pm me and my team were already on our position. We are 1,500 meters away from the river, concealed on trees in a window formation waiting for the enemy reinforcement to show up. I can feel it, dadaan sila dito kulang yung info na binigay ng spy, my instinct is never wrong.

"Hold your positions, they will dock earlier than 9 pm, if my gut feeling is right they will be marching from the south 30 minutes before the war begins" I can only hear the night breeze and swaying of the leaves  under the moonlight.

"Something's coming" I heard Yuri from the other line. We are 50 meters away from each other covering half kilometer wide parallel of the riverside. I can hear their heavy breathing , this is it. I'm scared, we might lose, we are completely outnumbered. "Wait for my signal" fuck shit! Ten rubber boats our coming, I can taste my sweats, dripping from my face. "Kill or be killed, good luck!"

Approximately 30 meters from the dock, I inhaled sharply "Now" the sound of sniper rifles being fired echoed through the area aimed at more or less 100 enemies on the river. Some of them dive on the shallow water desperate to save their lives. "Die you fuckers!" langya sa mouthpiece pa nag mura.

Any minutes now the arena will be attack 3 folds the number of our enemies here.

"Ugh!" shit! Someone is shot. "Who got hit?" I ask still firing my sniper rifle. "Sparrow. Daplis lang Night, kaya ko pa" si Sparrow pala ang tinamaan. "Change position, they already knew where we are" dali dali akong bumaba ng puno. "Shadow, Blood (Brylle) come with me, we'll move forward. Red, Fox, Sparrow cover us from the back. Jaz, Phoenix move west, Jaguar and Bullet move east now!"

Tumakbo kaming tatlo palapit sa kalaban with our M16 rifles, its heavy yet not as heavy as other assault rifles are. "Duck!" Shadow yelled and we roll over the ground just then we heard consecutive gun shots. Nagkahiwalay kaming tatlo at may naririnig akong putukan east and south.

My eyes widen in horror a red dot is in Blood's head. Wala na akong oras, I fired at him, syempre di ko sya pinatamaan, he flinched kaya nakaiwas sya sa sniper. May wireless communication pala kami, nak ng kamatis oo sa sobrang tense ko nakalimutan ko na to. "Sniper on your back Blood, 90°."

Exactly one hour konti nalang ang maririnig na putok, "Blood go west, Shadow east, I'll go north check our comrades." We run on different direction ng may mapansin akong gumalaw bandang east side. "Shadow behind you!" I screamed she heard me but it was too late the guy already pulled the trigger, she was shot. I aimed my gun to him firing repeatedly and let out a scream of anger.
