CHAPTER XLI

Alam nating limited lang yung oras natin sa mundo, eventually all of us will find ourselves crawling towards death. And yet it is always a surprise when it happened especially to someone we know. Kaya nga sabi nila seize each day or you might die regretting. Any moment could be your last which makes mortal life beautiful yet scary.

I met him, we made memories but now his gone. This could have been the last time for me to feel him, to look at him closely but I can't. I am meters away watching them deliver Clay to his last journey. I badly wanted to be on his side but the mafia boss is there. Wala akong magawa, I am still the same Ren from the last time we talked. Wala pa akong maipagmamalaki. He will just mock and belittle me if I showed my face to him.

 A piece of me is slowly falling away from my grasp. And I'm stuck here alone tears flowing freely from my eyes. You will always be a part of me Clay just like how Ken took a piece of me.

An hour passed, I wiped my tears dry, turn my back and walk away. I still have a handful of lives to collect, payback is like death. It comes when they least expect it.

I fished my phone and dialed Orion's number. He picked it up in just two rings. [Night] I can hear his noisy background.

"Find some place quiet" I ordered nonchalantly.

[Hello Night, dinig na ba?]

"Hmm, found anything?" I feel sick. My hands are shaking frenziedly. I need to vent out my blood lust the soonest.

[I only got one. But this is big, I think you need back up for this, I can come.] back up?

"No need for that, the more lives to kill the better" I heard Orion snickered disapprovingly.

[Stubborn as always Night. Anyway, do you remember Joker?] Ano namang konek ng Joker na yun sa tinatanong ko?

"Yeah, why?"

[He's on his way to meet you dala yung kotse nya, you'll need his car. An illegal race is scheduled tonight sponsored by both Mortifer and Nakamura. I'll send to you the address after this call.]

"Okay" then I cut the line and turned my phone to silent mode after I received his text. I don't want anyone spoiling my game tonight.

I've decided to wait for Joker sa loob ng 7/11. I can't fight with a hungry stomach. I was eating peacefully when a group of delinquents approach me. I just ignored them, wag lang sana silang magkamaling guluhin ako. Not now, my mood is seriously bad.

"Hi miss" I spare them a glance. I bet he is their leader, nasa likod naman yung dalawang kasama nya. Tiningnan ko lang sya ng walang emosyon at tinuloy ang pagkain ko. I felt him sit on the chair in front of me. Alam kong tinitingnan nya ako but I didn't budge even a bit.

"Would you mind if we join you here" I shrugged. Their presence really don't matter wag lang silang kakagawa ng ikakawala lalo ng mood ko. The other guy sit beside me sa kabila naman yung isa. "Anong pangalan mo?" tanong ng katabi ko. I look at him with my dull eyes. Napakamot naman sya sa ulo nya.
