REN and The Heartless Devil

CHAPTER LII

We are not official yet but we are almost there. For the past three days after we had dinner on a yacht he became more thoughtful, sweet and caring. He maybe a first timer but he acts like an expert. His ways of courtship is odd in a good way. Every day is full of surprising escapade. His ways are always unpredictable, sometimes we act like children learning new skills, new places, new things.

"Gab bakit wala pa ang sundo mo?" kumakain kami ngayon ni Yuri ng agahan. Minsan kasi dito na kumakain si Grae before going to school but not today.

"He won't be here" baliwala kong sabi sa kanya and grab another toast.

"Bakit? Nag-away ba kayo?" I rolled my eyes on her exaggerated comment. Porket hindi pupunta nag-away na agad, di ba pwedeng busy lang muna.

"No. He won't go to school today, some important meeting with his father." He told me about it over dinner last night. His father just arrived yesterday from Italy at may pag-uusapan daw silang importante about their mafia. My mind was full of what if's when he said that. What if alam na nya ang tungkol sa amin? What if he will force Grae to leave me?

"Sabagay wala din naman si Brent ngayon at isa pa miss na din kitang kasabay sa hapunan " nagdedate din naman sila ni Brent kaya lately hindi na kami sabay umuwi at kumain.

"Yeah. And besides I miss riding my bike to school" she give me a smile at nagpatuloy na kami sa pagkain.

"Yuri, Ren!" we saw Magi walking towards us. Kakaalis lang din ng driver nya. Magi have no guts on driving kahit na alam naman nyang magdrive. Takot daw sya pag nasa highway na. "Himala at wala ang mga drivers nyo."

"Busy eh, kaya ito single ulit ang lola mo" nagtatawanan silang dalawa habang papunta kami sa room.

"Morning Ren" Drake greeted me with his usual smile that could make every girl swoon over him, except me though. "Where's Grae?"

"Morning. Absent." He just shruged at nagpatuloy na kaming nglakad papasok ng room. Sobrang busy na ng mga classmates namin for our undergraduate thesis and other requirements. At ilang buwan nalang we would be receiving our diplomas.

My phone vibrated kaya agad ko itong kinuha sa bulsa ko. It's from Dustin, mamaya na pala tutugtog ulit yung friend nya. He's asking if I can go and I replied yes. And slid it back to my uniform. "Ren mag sa-shopping kami ni Yuri mamaya, sama ka?" baling sa akin ni Magi.

"I can't, I'm going somewhere" I already said yes to Dustin at isa pa he invited me first. Bigla namang lumungkot yung mata nya. "Maybe next time" she nodded and smiled at me bago hinarap ulit si Yuri.

Nagrerelax ako sa paborito kong puno when my phone rang. I feel excited when I saw his name on the screen. "Hello"

[Hey, I miss you] napangiti naman ako kaagad kahit alam kong di nya ako nakikita. He is very vocal about his feelings.
