REN and The Heartless Devil

CHAPTER XXXVI

After few minutes Grae held my face and dry my tears with his hands. "Fix yourself, they might think I made you cry" his voice is soft like he really cares for me. I nod my head and smiled at him. Feeling ko sobrang pula ng mata at ilong ko ilang minutes din yun, but I feel no regrets I felt refreshed.

"What did you do to her?" Brylle's aura screams danger while he is covering the gap between us and him. Grae just look at him lazily, kaya mas lalong nalukot yung mukha ni Brylle. "Enough, it's that stupid smoke's fault" I said blocking his way to Grae. These two are the closest I have right now except for Yuri of course at ayukong mag-away sila over some misunderstanding.

"Tsk! Akala ko ano na, mag-ingat ka kasi" he is checking every corner of my face from few inches away, I can even smell his manly scent. "Don't you know about personal space, you're too close" Grae pulled me away from him, they are throwing deadly glares at each other. "Oh awat na, let's get this bbq done I'm hungry" iniwan ko na sila at hinarap yung bbq, they followed seconds later.

"Sunog na naman!" pagrereklamo ni Brylle sa akin, sa gusto ko ng matapos to sobrang gutom na ako kaya nilakasan ko yung apoy. "Shut up Jani or else ikaw gagawin kong bbq" he look at me wide eyes nakanganga pa sya. "Just shut up both of you, I've cooked almost half of the meat already" kaya sabay naming sinamaan ng tingin si Grae. " Tsk, cooked? May dugo pa nga yung karne!" dinuro pa ni Brylle yung naluto na daw nya, tumango tango naman ako, agreeing what he just said. "Idiots, that's medium cooked."

"Pfftt, hahaha. Medium cooked, these are bbq not steak" baliw lang, ano yun medium sa kanya, well done kay Brylle tapos uling yung gawa ko. I saw his ears turned red kaya mas lalo akong natawa. Nagkulitan lang kaming tatlo, I'm not sure if kulitan talaga yun puro kasi asaran at bangayan. I'm thankful na di nila ako iniwan, I found solace in their presence.

"Uy ang saya nyo naman pasali" our noises abruptly stop when we heard that sweet voice. So nakabalik na pala sila, I never laid my eyes on Clay I would just hurt my self if I do. "No need, it's done" malamig na sagot dito ni Grae, I notice her sweet smile slowly fades after hearing what Grae said. He look away with a sad face, maybe looking at Clay pero di ko na sila tiningnan pa. "Brylle, call the others lets eat" utos ko sa kanya at dinala na yung bbq sa mesa.

Ang ingay ng cottage namin habang kumakain, nagsusubuan pa sina Yuri at Brent, hmp PDA pa more. On my right is Grae and Brylle on the otherside, kaharap naman namin sina Clay but I tried my best not to spare them even a single glance. I felt Brylle stiffened kaya nilingon ko sya, he's looking at Clay and the girl, kaya kahit ayaw ko napatingin na din ako sa kanila. But I really wish I didn't Clay is smiling habang sinusubuan sya ni Aubrey. I tried so hard to ignore the pain, ouch lang ang sakit sa harap ko pa talaga.

"Huy uling, kain pa oh" that made me shift my gaze from them papunta kay Brylle, ano daw uling? "Whatever jani" I make stupid faces kaya napatawa sya. "Can't you two just eat" Grae complained he even shoot daggers at us. "Shut up, medium" sabi ko sa kanya, his eyes widen and his ears are turning red again. "Hahaha" sabay na tawa namin ni Brylle, kaya napalingon tuloy yung iba sa amin.
