The next morning we all left and brought Eddie more food. Dustin slammed the door open.

"Jeez!" We heard Eddie yelled. Robin and Dustin walked in and Steve, Max and I peeked around the corner.

"Delivery service." Dustin smiled. Eddie sighed in relief and sat down, shoving cereal in his mouth and drinking a Yoo-hoo. "So we got, uh, some good news and some bad news. How do you prefer it?"

"Bad news first, always." Eddie took a sip.

"We tapped into the Hawkin's PD dispatch with our Cerebro and they're definitely looking for you. Also, they're, uh, pretty convinced you killed Chrissy." Dustin sighed.

"Like, a hundred percent kind of convinced." Max added.

"And the good news?" Eddie asked.

"Your name hasn't gone public yet. But if we found out about you, it's a matter of time before others do, too. And once that gets out, everyone and their shallow-minded mother is gonna be gunning for you." Robin said.

"Hunt the freak, right?" Eddie asked.

"Exactly." I nodded.

"Shit." Eddie cursed.

"So, before that happens, we need to find Vecna, kill him, and prove your innocence." Dustin said as if it was simple.

"That's all, Dustin? That's all?" Eddie raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah, no, that's pretty much it." Dustin nodded.

"And where, pray tell, are we supposed to find Vecna? Adventure into the Upside Down?" I questioned.

"Yeah, that...that could work." Dustin nodded.

"There isn't a gate, dumbass." I shook my head.

"There has to be. Because...how is Vecna attacking?" Max questioned.

We all shrugged.

"Look, Eddie, I know everything Dustin is saying sounds totally delusional, but we've actually been through this kind of thing before. I mean, they have a...a few times, and...and I have once. Mine was more human-flesh-based, theirs was more smoke-related, but the bottom line is, collectively, I really feel like we've got this." Robin explained.

"Yeah, see, we usually rely on this girl who has superpowers. But, uh, those went bye-bye, so..." Steve trailed off.

"So we're technically in more of the-" Robin began.

"Kinda..." Steve motioned with his hand.

"Brainstorming phase." Max finished.

"Brainstorming." Steve snapped his fingers.

"But it worked the last...three times. It can work again." I said. "Hopefully." I whispered.

"There...there's nothing to worry about." Dustin tried to convince Eddie. Steve scoffed with a smile. I was still leaning on his side. We heard police sirens.

"Tarp! Tarp!" Robin yelled as we covered Eddie and looked out the window. They drove by. Steve ushered us in the car and we followed them.

We arrived at the scene seeing the cops talking to Nancy. Nancy looked up as she saw us, she smiled in relief, waving her hand at me. I waved back.

When Nancy was done speaking to the cops we all sat at the picnic table so she could explain. We then explained about Vecna.

"So, you're saying that this thing that killed Fred and Chrissy, it's from the Upside Down?" Nancy asked.

"If the shoe fits." Steve nodded.

"Our working theory is that he attacks with a spell or a curse. Now, whether or not he's doing the bidding of the Mind Flayer or just loves killing teens, we don't know." Dustin explained.
