Today was Will's funeral. Even though I knew Will and Barb were alive, I had to play along.

Dustin left his room wearing his suit while I left mine in black dress pants and a matching blouse.

"You ready?" I asked him.

He shrugged. "I guess."

Mom exited her room with a pity face as she pulled us into a hug. "It's okay."

I let her hug me as I tried to force myself to look sad.

The graveyard was crowded with people from town. Will's casket was in front of us as the priest spoke. I glanced at Nancy as she gave me a nod.

We dropped our roses on the casket before walking over to Jonathan.

The three of us moved away from the people and over to a private spot by the fence. We sat down and looked at the map.

"This is where we know for sure it's been, right?" Jonathan pointed at the map that had some red Xs on it.

"So that's..." Nancy trailed off.

"Steve's house." I finished.

"And that's the woods where they found Will's bike and..." He pointed at another X. "...that's my house."

"It's all so close." Nancy noticed.

"Exactly." Jonathan nodded.

"Maybe there's something else in that area." I spoke up and they looked at me. "Everything happened within a mile or so. Whatever creature it is, it's not going very far."

"Athena's right." Jonathan agreed.

Nancy then realized the look on his face. "You want to go out there."

"We might not find anything." Jonathan added.

"We found something." Nancy motioned to herself and I.

"Come on, we might as well try." I shrugged.

"And if we do see it...then what?" Nancy asked.

"Get it on camera?" I suggested.

"We kill it." Jonathan blurted.

"That...works, too." I nodded in agreement.

"Come on." Jonathan stood, causing Nancy and I to follow. He opened the car door and sat inside.

"What are you doing?" Nancy asked.

"Just give me a second." Jonathan told her.

He opened the glovebox and pulled out a gun.

"Oh, he was serious about killing that thing." I muttered.

"Are you serious?" Nancy questioned him.

"What? You want to find this thing and take another photo? Yell at it?" Jonathan asked.

"Apparently not. Are you sure a gun will even kill it?" I asked.

"Yes, guns kill things." Jonathan nodded.

"Are we sure it's even a thing?" I questioned.

"This is a terrible idea." Nancy crossed her arms.

"Yeah, well, it's the best we've got." Jonathan tucked the gun into his suit jacket before noticing the hesitance on Nancy's face. "What? You can tell someone, but they're not gonna believe you. You know that. She knows that." He motioned to me.

"He's right, Nance." I gave her a look.

"His...your Mom would." She looked at me before facing him again.
