Robin and Nancy arrived before Max woke up from her trance. Once she woke up, Max explained exactly what she saw.

She believed a grandfather clock was embedded in the hallway wall. When we gave her confused looks, she left the office and pointed at the wall.

"It was here. Right here." Max pointed.

"A grandfather clock?" Nancy repeated.

Max nodded. "It was so real. And then, when I got closer, suddenly I just...woke up."

"It was like she was in a trance or something." Dustin muttered.

"Eddie said that happened to Chrissy." I added.

Max turned to face us. "That's not even the bad part." She walked back to the office and explained. "Fred and Chrissy, they both came to Ms. Kelley for help. Uh, they both were having headaches, bad headaches that just wouldn't go away. And then...then the nightmares. Trouble sleeping. They'd wake up in a cold sweat. Then they started seeing things. Bad things. From their pasts. And these visions...they kept on getting worse and worse until eventually...everything ended."

"Vecna's curse." Robin realized.

"Chrissy's headaches started a week ago." Max's voice wavered. "Fred's, six days ago. I've been having them for five days. I don't know how long I have. All I know is that Fred and Chrissy both died less than twenty-four hours after their first vision and I just saw that Goddamn clock...so...looks like I'm gonna die tomorrow."

"We are not gonna let you die, Max. Vecna will have to come after me if that creature wants to get to you." I crossed my arms.

My kids are not dying.

A clang in the hallway caused all of us to go on high alert.

"Stay here." Steve ordered, walking over to the door and picking up a lamp. I followed right behind him and he glanced at me. "Stay back."

"You go, I go." I stated as we left the office and everyone followed anyway.

Another clang made Steve raise the lamp and me raise my fists.

The culprit rounded the corner and Steve screamed, causing everyone else to scream.

"It's me!" Lucas stated.

"Lucas?" Nancy questioned.

"Lucas?" I muttered.

"It's me." Lucas panted.

"Jeez, what's wrong with you, Sinclair!?" Steve yelled.

"I'm sorry." Lucas apologized, continuing to pant for air.

"I could've taken you out with this lamp!" Steve waved the lamp around and I moved my head before he could accidentally hit me.

"Sorry, guys. Sorry." Lucas panted. "I was...I was biking for eight miles. Give me one second. Shit. We've got a Code Red."

"Code Red?" I questioned. "What's wrong?"

Lucas walked over to Dustin. "Dustin, I've been with Jason, Patrick and Andy and they've gone, like, totally off the rails. They're trying to capture Eddie and they think you know where he is. You're in terrible danger."

"Alright, yeah, that definitely sucks, but we've got bigger problems than Jason right now." Dustin looked over at Max.

Lucas looked at her, too, sensing something was wrong.

Nancy ordered all of us back to her house and we sat in her basement to fill Lucas in. Robin and Nancy then explained what they found out before going upstairs.
