Now that they had a plan, they had to go and gather everyone else. Thankfully they would all be in one place.

Sage had given Ruby an outfit to change into, this was the Carrera's anniversary party after all, they needed to blend in.

So the girls went into the party while the guys stayed on the boat, forming a plan for when they would get to Orinoco.

Sage went to find Sarah while Ruby went up to bar, getting herself a glass of water to soothe her stomach a little.

"Ruby! Sweetheart it's so good to see you!" Anna greeted, pulling Ruby into a hug, "hi Mrs. Carrera, happy anniversary" Ruby said politely.

"Are you okay honey? You look sick" Anna noticed, guiding her to sit down at one of the picnic table, "yea I've uh.. I've been feeling kinda sick the past few days" Ruby admitted, tapping her nails against her glass.

Anna gave Ruby a look, "Ruby are you..?" She trailed off, "no!- no I uh.. I don't know.." Ruby said quietly and looked down, biting her bottom lip.

"If you are.. I'm gonna be honest it's not easy. You're gonna need a good support system" Anna said, "I know.." Ruby murmured.

"Your mom and I were close at your age.. and I know this'll probably be hard not having parents.." Anna said, reaching across the table and grabbing her hand.

Ruby felt tears well up in her eyes, clearing her throat, "yea-yea it's really hard" Ruby admitted, "you're a lot like her y'know.. I think you and JJ will be just fine.." Anna said with a kind smile before standing up.

Ruby took a shaky breath, quickly wiping her tears away and taking a sip of her water, nearly choking as she saw Rafe walk in with Sofia.

She stood up and made her way over to the exit, pausing as she saw Kiara talking to JJ over the fence.

Slowly Ruby sauntered forward, feeling her anxiety build as she swallowed hard, keeping a safe distance.

"Like, I love you dude!" Kiara cried and Ruby froze, her glass dropping from her hand and shattering on the deck.

JJ looked up like a deer in headlights, looking at Kiara then at Ruby, he didn't know what to do.

Ruby turned on her heel and went back into the crowd, fighting back tears and unable to hear as JJ told Kiara where to stick it.

She sat at a table and laid her head on her arms as she cried, confused and lost at the same time.

God this sucked.
