The next morning everyone was still exhausted, but thankfully they made it through the night without any issues.

Ruby had packed a bunch of food and water, so they were set for the day in that aspect.

So far everything had been going smoothly, they were on the right path and about halfway toward the hill they needed to get to.

Ruby however was bent over the side of the boat, morning sickness was officially kicking her ass already.

JJ rubbed her back, helping her clean up and handing her the travel toothbrush she had packed, Ruby gratefully taking it.

Around noon they noticed Singh's men on a boat, clearly they were looking for her dad, brother and Sage.

So now they were following the boat, JJ making sure to keep a safe distance and pulling off where needed to make sure they wouldn't be caught.

Ruby sat on the floor, peeking up every now and then to make sure they were still good, sighing in relief when they were.

Singh's men were lounging on a dock, JJ and Ruby shared a look, this was the perfect window they needed.

Pope and Cleo grabbed the fireworks they had stolen and then the plan was in motion, thankfully working.

JJ helped Ruby off the boat, the two of them staring at the mountain of a hill before them.

"You ready for this?" He asked, "hell no" She said with a laugh, this hike was gonna be torture.

She grabbed a bottle of water out of her duffle bag, taking a few sips as the others caught up to them.

They started walking up the hill, Ruby could already feel the burn in her legs- being short and walking up steep hills was not a great combo.

JJ had his arm around her waist, practically hauling her along with him, her boots dragging against the grass in certain points.

Pope was helping Cleo, and Kiara was alone, much farther behind then everyone else, keeping her distance.

Ruby wiped the back of her hand across her forehead, breathing heavily from the heat- god she wished she could be in the water with a board right now, the water soothing her heated skin as she surfed.

She looked over at JJ, the two smiling as they shared the same thought, this definitely was a great place for surfing.

After a while they all decided they needed a break, splitting up temporarily as they searched for some shade.

Ruby sat under a weeping willow, drinking her water as JJ took in the scenery, everything clicked for her at once.

She was going to tell him.
