After an hour the door was opened and Ruby was moved to a different cabin, she knew it was pointless, but she still wrote 'P4L Cabin 6' on the bed frame in sharpie.
Now for most of the time she's been laying in bed, her hand rubbing her stomach as she spoke quietly to her baby, promising she would keep it safe.
JJ on the other hand was struggling, having to wait until sundown to sneak in and set his plan into action.
He snuck into the reflection cabin, setting down his crowbar and scanned the area, cursing to himself as she wasn't there.
"God Rubes.." He murmured, running his fingers across the writing, taking a deep breath and nodding once to himself before making his way to cabin six.
Inside Ruby turned her head, sighing as Rafe was beside her, "it's been hours Ruby. No ones coming for you." Rafe said.
"They might.. they wouldn't just leave.." Ruby said quietly, messing with the strings on her hoodie, a frown on her lips.
She heard a commotion below and the light turned on, she blinked a few times as Rafe disappeared.
Ruby sat up, her heart leaping as she recognized the figure below, but she paused, was he even really here?
She slowly climbed down and JJ turned, a relived smile appearing on his face, "Rubes.." He breathed out, taking her into his arms.
Her hands cradled his face, her index finger tracing over his lips as she tried to convince herself that he was really there.
"I'm here.. I'm right here baby.." He soothed, "you're in my head.." She choked out, tears filling her eyes.
"I'm not.. I'm here Ruby.. I'm here to get you out just like I promised okay..?" JJ tried but it wasn't working.
JJ held the sides of Ruby's face, pulling her into a heated but sweet kiss, sighing in relief as she began to kiss him back.
He lifted her in the air, her hands cradling his face as they got lost in each other- only coming back to reality once they heard the cheering.
Ruby grabbed her bag and JJ's hand as they both took off running- not sparing a single glance back.
They stopped in the field as it appeared JJ was waiting for someone, the couple catching their breath.
"Are you okay..?" He asked and she looked up at him, "I'm already feeling so much better.." She answered honestly.
He nodded and wrapped his arms around her, repeatedly kissing the top of her head.
He got her back.
