Minho POV

I watched as Cassie skipped towards the Med-jack hut. She is one hell of a fighter. I have seen her hand-to-hand combat, and the stick fight was easy for me, but she learns quick.

I sat down on the ground against the tree stomp. My cheek hurt, but it isn't something I am not used too. I watched Cassie's figure going through the Med-jack hut, out of my sight.

"She is one fighter, Newt." I spoke to the boy who stood in front of me. His back was towards me. "She isn't strong enough to take down a guy, but she is fast, like you."

I was smiling from ear to ear at the thought. Newt turned around towards me. Instead of seeing a face where he is proud, I got to see the worse side of Newt. The face where you know you shunked up, but this time I didn't know what I did wrong.

"Why did you have to hit her so hards, Minho?" His eyes bored into mine, but it didn't faze me. I knew where he was headed.

"That hit wasn't that hard and she also got me." I pointed towards the already purple spot on my chin. His façade didn't change though.

"That was a lucky shot she got on you mate." Well Newt, was she taking you down on the ground also a lucky shot?

"No, she really got me good." I told him, I was getting annoyed at him, because I knew why he was saying that, he would just not admit it to himself. I got up from my seat on the ground and slowly but dangerous I walked up towards the blond.

"And why do you even care so much, when we trained it was a lot more bruises."

I am going to make him admit it.

"That is different." I saw him getting worked up.

"And why is that?" I challenged him.

"Because she is just a girl!" Newt almost screamed.

That was not the thing I wanted him to confess.

I heard rustling of leaves a few yards away from us. From the corner of my eyes I saw a flash of blond hair whisking away behind a tree.

Shunk.

I dangerously walked up to Newt, but the guy stood his ground. I grabbed him by the shirt. "Is that why you didn't vote on her being a runner, as she is just a girl." I shook  my head in disappointed. He never even told her that he didn't vote on her to be the new runner. There should be a reason on why he didn't tell her.

"Deep down I know there is a different reason on why you say that all the time. I am not here to help you with that like I helped you on that day. I will train her to be the best runner you have ever seen, and my advice is; be on her good side, because she is a killer, inside and out."Newt pushed my hands off of his shirt, and stomped his way out of the woods.
