Chapter Eleven

Anamika's pov :

We entered our favourite ice cream parlour and sat on our regular table. Me, Ish and Ro have been coming here since we were kids, it is like our spot after the cafe. After we met Sara and Aditi, we started bringing them too. So now this is our group's spot. We are always either at the cafe or at this parlour.
" Hey, kids! What will you have today?" asked Karan uncle. He is like our second father. " Our regular,  uncle," we said.
" Of course, why did I even bother asking" he laughed. " One dark chocolate, one milk chocolate, one blueberry, one black current and one strawberry coming up," he said.
He gave us our ice creams. We smiled at him and ate our ice creams. After eating Aditi asked Sara " Are you feeling good now?". She nodded and said " I am so glad you were there today" " Oh it's okay forget about it and move on" said Rohan.
" Hey guys look at this," said Ishita. We looked at where she was pointing and saw an advertisement. " There is a mela tomorrow" she exclaimed. " Oh wow it has been years since I went to one" said Aditi. " Guys we have to go" said Sara. I nodded at her and said, " Sure, let's go it will be fun". " And as your designated driver, I don't have a choice," said Rohan. We laughed at him.
We paid the bill for ice cream and left for home. In the car, the Mela was the only thing we could talk about. We were so excited to go.
As I entered my home, I saw that Maa- Papa were home early today. I went and greeted them. I told them about the Mela and they agreed. I went to my room to change and do some work. After completing my college work I went down for dinner. I saw that Bhai was home. I went to him and greeted him with a hug. We had dinner and we went to sleep.
I woke up to the calls of my friends. I answered Ishita's call and said " Why are you disturbing my sleep on a holiday?" " Idiot, did you forget about the Mela?" she asked annoyed.
" No, but it's in the evening" I groaned.
" Check the time you Sleepyhead it's already noon" she said. I looked at the time and said, " Ugh fine am getting up."
" Good, wake up and have lunch. We are coming to your place in 2 hours. Till then you should have eaten lunch and taken a shower." she warned. " Yeah yeah don't worry" I said. I cut her call and went to take a shower. I decided to wear a normal outfit till my friends came. I went down and saw my family having lunch. " Why didn't you wait for me?" I asked. " Because it's Sunday and you wake up very late," Bhai said. I rolled my eyes and sat for lunch. As I finished my lunch I heard the bell. " Looks like your friends are here," said Maa. I nodded and went to open the door. I ushered my friends in and we went up to get ready. I wore denim shorts and a tank top. Ishita wore a flowy short dress. Aditi wore a jumper. Sara wore a crop top and and skirt. Rohan wore a white t-shirt and jeans. After we got ready, we finally went to the Mela.
" Guys we are finally here, it's gonna be so much fun" exclaimed Ishita. We laughed and nodded happily. Aditi looked a little down but I ignored it feeling that maybe am thinking too much. We went inside the Mela. " Let's go have a blast" exclaimed Sara.
