Chapter Four

Anamika's pov :

Me and Sara had our first class together while Aditi, Ish and Ro had their class together. As usual, we were late because Sara forgot to bring her book from the locker.
When we entered the class, I noticed that we had a new teacher today. I was kind of nervous because I don't like changes. Changes scare me. I went over to my seat with Sara.
The new teacher introduced himself as Kabir. He asked us to stand up and introduce ourselves with our quality.
" What are we in kindergarten " I thought. I rolled my eyes at the nerds over-enthusiastically introducing themselves. Don't take me wrong I have no issue with nerds I admire their efforts to keep up their grades but being a teacher's pet is where I draw the line. I mean it's just annoying. Like okay, I know you worship him but like chill dude.
Then my turn came to introduce myself. God I hate public interactions.
I stood up and said, " My name is Anamika Singh ". But Kabir Sir was not satisfied. " Come on don't be so boring, tell us about yourself and your hobbies." he mockingly said.
Oh God, why do you have to torture me? My hands began to shake slightly coz of his gaze on me. " please leave me alone yaar" I thought.
Sara noticed my tense form and said
" Sir why don't you tell us about yourself and how did you land up here". Thankfully everyone else agreed and Kabir Sir finally moved on from me.
I looked at Sara gratefully and mouthed a thank you for her help. She just winked at me and mouthed always.
Man am so thankful for having friends like her in my life. What would I do without her?
The entire class I felt Kabir Sir's gaze on me. I felt so conscious and uncomfortable but didn't say anything. Finally, the bell rang and we headed out.
" Dude what was that" asked Sara.
"It felt like Sir had some personal issues with you. Like why was he so adamant about making you talk," she said.
" I don't know what's his deal yaar. Like what past life issues does he have with me" I replied. She comforted me and said " It's okay I am there with you. I won't let him trouble you like this." I hugged her and said, "Love you, Sara ".
She hugged me back and said " Always babe. "
Finally, after so many lectures, it was lunchtime. I met my friends on the ground. We don't sit in the canteen for lunch. I feel uncomfortable in too much crowd. So I avoid going to such places.
Sara told the group about what happened with Kabir Sir. Everyone was furious and worried. Aditi asked if I was okay. Rohan and Ishita were very angry.
" I will give that sir such an introduction that he won't ask for anyone's introduction again," said Rohan. I rolled my eyes at his protectiveness and and said " Calm down guys, I am okay."
" Ain't no sir who can scare me" I joked.
Everyone laughed at that. Ishita said
"Of course, if you got angry then no one can save him". I laughed and said "Yupp"
" Guys what are we gonna give to Swati as her Farwell gift?" asked Aditi.
"Oh yeah it's at 8 and it's already 4:30 and we have classes till 6. How will we manage to buy gifts and get ready for her party in time?" I said worried.
" Easy, we skip the last 2 lectures and go to the mall," said Sara. " Oh yeah, and then our parents will kill us," said Ishita.
" Guys we don't have any other option, we have to skip and go to the mall," I said. " But what about attendance?" asked Sara. " One of us should stay for attendance, " I said. " Oh I volunteer " said Rohan happily. I smacked his arm and said " Idiot we need you to drive" " Aditi and Ishita you guys stay for attendance" I said. They agreed.
" Let's go guys" exclaimed Sara.
Rohan drove us to the mall and while in the parking he said " Sara you go ahead I need to talk to Annie. " She agreed and went ahead. Rohan turned to me and said " Annie, I know you feel uncomfortable in crowds so if you ever feel agitated please inform me and we will leave. Okay?" " Yes sir, don't worry," I said. We got out and went to meet Sara.
