Chapter Twelve

Anamika's pov :

" What should we do first?" I asked.
" Let's go play some games first" Sara suggested. Everyone agreed and we went to the game area. " I am gonna win the ring tossing game this time," said Rohan. We laughed at his confidence. He went and paid the fee. He began playing. " Go Rohan" we cheered him up.
After many fails he finally won a bubble maker. I looked at him with puppy eyes. I loved that thing. He rolled his eyes and said, " Take it, you big baby ". I happily took the bubble maker. "Hey not fair Ro, win us something too," the girls said. " Okay, give me the money to play and I will win you all whatever you want". The girls rolled their eyes. " You are such a cheapskate" teased Ishita.
" I am not, I spent a lot of money to win that bubble maker. I don't like these childish stuff that's why I gave it to Annie" he defended himself. " Here take some money and win something good for all of us. Like that box of chocolates"
said Sara. He took the money and won the chocolates. "Yay!!" we cheered.
We continued playing different games.
" Hey! Let's go on the Ferris wheel" said Ishita. I was about to say yes but suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach. No no please no. Another pain hit me. I groaned and felt the liquid. My friends looked at me worriedly.
" What's wrong Annie?" asked Aditi.
" I got my period " I said groaning in pain. " Oh My God! Do you have pads with you?" asked Ishita. I shook my head. I sat on a nearby bench. My friends stood in a circle around me.
" Does any of you have one?" I asked. All the girls shook their heads. " Oh my God! What do I do now?" I started panicking.
" Calm down Annie, I will go and buy some from the nearest medical. You girls stay with her," said Rohan. " Are you sure Ro?" I asked. " Of course Annie, I am not so insecure about my masculinity that feel embarrassed about going to buy pads" he said. I smiled at him through the pain. " Stay tight Annie, I will come quickly" he reassured. The girls sat by me. " Guys we are so lucky to have a friend like Rohan Yaar" Sara said. " I know right, I mean where there are guys ashamed to even say the word. He is going to buy pads," said Ishita.
" He is amazing," said Aditi. I agreed with them.
After what felt like an eternity, Rohan came with a bag. " Annie, I got you pads, some chocolates, some snacks and medicine for the cramps," he said.
" What was the need of all this?" I said.
" Hushh! Go and change" he said. I went to the washroom and changed. I came back took some medicine and thanked Rohan. " You are such a lifesaver," I said.
" Rohan, I wish all guys were like you. Who is not ashamed or embarrassed about such natural things," said Aditi. " Yeah, it is not easy to be this open with all this stuff. I mean even some girls feel awkward about this" said Sara. " We are so proud of you Ro," I said.
" Come on guys, it's not a big deal. I have been friends with you for ages. I have seen you deal with periods. And if I can do something to help I will want to do it." he said. We smiled at him and gave him a group hug.
" Come on now, let's get Annie home to take some rest," he said. " But what about the Mela?" I asked. " We can go some other time," said Sara. I was about to say something but Ishita interrupted me and said " No arguments " I made a face but agreed. I went home and changed my outfit into some comfortable clothes. I looked at the photographs of today. Suddenly I saw a picture which made me a little worried. I saw Aditi in the background on the phone. It looked like she was arguing with someone. I thought about her face and this photo. I have to talk to her tomorrow.
