As we entered my room all the idiots started messing it up to find comfortable positions to watch. I rolled my eyes at them and went down to bring snacks and drinks. I went into the kitchen and bumped into Maa. " What do you want Annie?" she asked. " We are having a movie night Maa, so came to take some snacks and drinks" I replied. She nodded and gave me some packets, popcorn and some soft drinks. I thanked her and went to my room. As I entered, I saw that my friends were arguing about something. " What are you guys arguing about now?" I asked. " We can't decide which movie to watch" Ishita exclaimed.
I facepalmed at their childishness and said " Let's just watch ZNMD". Thankfully everyone agreed and we began watching. Suddenly while watching the movie I got an inspiration to sketch. I looked around and saw that everyone was engrossed in the movie. I got up and went to the balcony with my sketchbook and pencils. I sat on the ground facing the beautiful moon and began sketching. My style was a bit elegant but comfortable. All my designs were classy looking but very comfortable to wear. I drew a white pearl studded top with matching white skort ( skirt + shorts), a pink rhinestone jacket and classy transparent heels. I was so deep into the sketch that I didn't realise when my friends came and stood beside me. "Wow!" exclaimed Ishita which broke me out of my daze. I looked around and saw my friends looking at my design with awe. " Annie this is beautiful " remarked Sara. Everyone nodded in agreement. I blushed at the compliments and said " Thank you guys"
" Annie you really should talk to your parents about this. You have a lot of talent and it should not go to waste" Rohan said. " Yeah umm, I will talk to them but just give me some time na," I said. " Annie how much time? We are graduating in 2 months" Aditi exclaimed.
" Yeah Annie you have to talk to them about this" said Sara. " I will I will," I said. " Guys check this out!" Ishita exclaimed. " What?" asked Aditi.
" There is a design competition in our college tomorrow," Ishita said.
" Seriously? Annie, you have to take part in it" demanded Sara. " What no! Am not taking part in any competition " I exclaimed. " Yes, you are!" said Ishita.
" Annie this is an amazing opportunity, you have to do it" said Aditi. " I don't know guys," I said. "Annie either you take part willingly or else we will go and submit your today's design" Rohan warned. " Fine fine, I will do it," I said. My friends cheered at that. " So which design are you going to submit?" asked Ishita. " Submit this one Annie, it's beautiful " said Sara. " Fine, I will submit this one," I said. " Yayy" everyone cheered. " Happy now?" I asked.
"Very happy" they replied. I rolled my eyes at them jokingly and said
" Let's continue watching the movie now". My friends nodded at that and we continued our movie night. I wondered about the competition all night long.
I woke up the next morning with only one thought " It was time to submit".
I got ready and went to college with my friends. " Come on Annie, let's go and submit your design" said Rohan. I nodded nervously. " Don't be nervous Annie, am sure you will only win" Aditi comforted. I smiled at my friends and said " Okay let's do it". We went to the office and submitted my design.
"Let's wait for the results now," Sara said. " When are they going to declare them?" asked Aditi. " Tomorrow morning" I informed. They nodded at that. We went to our classes after that.
I spent the night tossing and turning. I was very anxious about the results. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
