Chapter Nine

Anamika's pov :

I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing. I hit the snooze button and went to sleep again. My brother came into my my room and said " Stop hitting the snooze button continuously and get up or else you will be late for college.
" Ughh it's morning already" I groaned.
" Yes princess it's already morning and unless you wanna miss your first lecture, wake up and get ready" He said.
I woke up begrudgingly and Bhai laughed at my misery. I gave him a death stare and he raised his hands in mock surrender. I went to get ready for college. I got ready, packed my bag and went down for breakfast.
" Good Morning Maa - Papa" I greeted my parents with a hug. " Good Morning Sweetheart " they wished. " Good Morning Sleepyhead," said Bhai. I rolled my eyes at him and asked Maa what's for breakfast. " Come sit Beta, I have made Samosa and your favourite coffee for you," Maa said. I happily sat down for breakfast. " So how is college going Annie?" asked Papa. " It's going great Papa" I replied. " Have you selected which field you wanna go in and which college?" asked Maa. " I am not sure yet, I will decide it soon" I nervously replied. Bhai gave me a look while I ignored him.
" It's okay, it is a major decision take your time," Papa said. I nodded at them and quickly ate my breakfast. " Btw Bhai when are you gonna get married?" I teased. " What? I am just 22 yet, I don't wanna get married so soon" he said.
" Calm down Veer she is just joking. No one is making you get married so soon" said Maa. I laughed at the look on his face.
" Anamika Singh, Run" exclaimed Bhai.
I quickly got up and ran eyes wide to save myself from my brother's wrath. Even though he is mostly sweet he can be damn scary at times. Bhai ran behind me trying to catch me. I hid behind Papa for protection. " Papa save me," I said.
" What are you kids doing?" laughed Papa. " Calm down children, Veer you are 22 and Anamika you are turning 18 act like grown-ups please" said Maa.
" But Maa you said I was your little baby that day and now you are calling me an adult," I said with puppy eyes. " That's true Maa you should decide if she is a baby or an adult," Bhai said. " Oh my God, just sit quietly and eat your breakfast " Maa exclaimed exasperated.
We laughed and ate our remaining breakfast in peace.
After breakfast, Bhai came up to me
" Annie when are you gonna tell them" he asked. " Soon Bhai just give me some time please" I requested. "Fine, but tell them before your graduation please," he said. I nodded at him. " Veer, let's go to work," said Papa. " Coming Papa," he said. He hugged me and went to the office with Papa. " Annie, I am also leaving for the firm. Lock the house properly while going to college." Maa said. I nodded at her and said, " Yes mam". She rolled her eyes and left for work after hugging me. " Where the hell are my idiots?" I wondered. I called Rohan and asked
" Where are you guys? We will be late for college. " " Yeah we are just coming to pick you up, Sara mam was busy doing makeup and made us late," he said. I could hear him rolling his eyes and Sara hitting him in the background.
" Okay come fast" I said. " Sara and make-up? That too for college? Something is up" I wondered.
I heard the horn and went to sit in the car. " So Sara how come you were busy with makeup today" I asked.
" That's what we asked, but she is being very secretive," said Aditi. I shook my head and said " It's okay she will tell us when she feels like" Sara looked at me and nodded. We went to the college. While going to the class I wondered why Sara is being so secretive.
