CHAPTER 21

Damien's POV

To say I am shocked would be an understatement. I just got off a call with Jessica and she agreed to let me take the twins for the weekend and she also agreed to the DNA test.
Well I had initially asked her the day after she went out alone and left me with the twins.
The conversation went exactly how I thought it would. She basically flat out refused to let me take the kids for the weekend and because I didn't want to start a fight with her I didn't argue with her
But to add salt to the wound I also told her about the DNA test and she full on screamed in my face.
She felt I thought the kids were not mine and that I can leave anytime if I felt that way.

Apparently I was insensitive as fuck because I asked for a DNA test.
Well she even threw me out of her house.
I decided to leave since I felt she needed space to calm down.
Luckily the twins were old enough for calls because I had been calling to check on them as I hadn't seen them in 3 days.

So imagine my surprise when my phone rings and I see it's Jessica.

Well she apologized for the way she talked to me and said the twins were also mine so I could have them when I wanted and she also consented to the DNA test because she has nothing to hide.

Well I was happy she agreed, now I don't even know if I still want to take them to the dinner party the Andersons are throwing. I dont want them exposed to that kind of environment.
The best thing is for me to take them the day after the dinner party so there won't be a lot of people around.

I call my housekeeper to buy kids friendly food stuff. I don't know why I am nervous all of a sudden. I have been spending so much time with them so I don't know why I feel nervous with them coming for a sleepover at my house.

Today is Wednesday so I have 2 days to prepare everything for the sleepover. I can't mess this up because I want to have them over more often.
So if this goes well I'm sure Jessica will start agreeing to having the kids sleep over at my place.

I decide to call them so ask what they would like to do while they are here.

"Heyy Dj, can you put me on speaker and call your sister if she isn't with you there already" I say.

"Ohh hey dad"Dj says
"Heyy daddy"Carrie responds a few seconds later

"I miss you guys so much"

"We miss you too,when are you coming here?" they ask.

"Well that's why I was calling, you guys have been asking me when you will come see my house right?" I say.

"Yess daddy"they say at the same time.

"Well we are having a sleepover party just the three of us on Friday until Sunday" I say in excitement.

"Mummy isn't coming?"Dj asks.

Dammnn this is going to be harder than I expected. Of course they don't want to be apart from their mom for that long

"Mummy has to have time alone too Dj. I promise it will be fun."

"Okay daddy, I can't wait to see your house.how many rooms are there?are we going to swim, I really want to swim" he says.

I laugh at all his questions, at least they didn't refuse to come which makes me really happy.

It's finally Friday evening and I head to Jessica's place to pick up the kids for our sleepover.
I still nervous about having them over at my place but everything is ready. I probably went overboard with the toys but I want them to enjoy their time with me.

When I arrive I am immediately bombarded with hugs by the twins after Jess opens the door.

"Can we talk in the kitchen for a bit before you go" Jess says.
