More than anything (Alastor X Reader)

Jealous

As you descended the stairs, you saw Angel, Husk, Pentious, and Alastor. Husk and Angel were each holding a fruity cocktail and speaking in the Parlor. Pentious was repetitively adjusting his bow tie, and Alastor was staring at you as you approached him. You couldn't help but chuckle as you noticed his outfit. He was wearing a classic 1930s three piece suit. It was red with light pink stripes, similar to the suit he normally wore. However, he was wearing a tie instead of his iconic bow tie, and a black button up.

"You look amazing Al. I wanted to match your style. Do you like it?" You waited anxiously on his response. He smiled at you and brought you into a deep hug.

"There aren't any words known to man that can accurately describe how beautiful you look tonight." He pulled away to get another look at you.

"Alright everybody! Let's get this part started!" Charlie shouted while opening the hotel door and surprisingly, there was a large crowd of denizens waiting outside. The group was dumbfounded at the turnout, but you were all excited to see so many people in the hotel.

Suddenly, a golden portal opened besides the entrance and Lucifer stepped out. You could see Alastor's body tense up and his smile turned into a more aggressive one.

"Dad! I'm so glad you made it!" Charlie said and Lucifer pulled her into a tight hug.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world darling." He responded before walking over to you and Alastor.

"You look beautiful y/n. I'm really glad I got to see you, I wanted to talk to you about something. I'll come find you later." Lucifer winked and started walking away. Al's eyes flashed radio dials and the radio static was louder than the large group inside. You placed your hand on his shoulder and gave him a reassuring smile which calmed him down.

Everyone filed into the ballroom and Vaggie brought a group on stage where they started playing some vibrant music. You and Al stood by the bar and fixed yourselves some drinks before heading into the dance.

"I'm really surprised how many people actually showed up. I kind of thought it would just be us dancing." You chuckled while making Al's old fashioned.

"Well, dances aren't very common in Hell. I'm sure people are just excited to relive their prom days." Al responded.

"Did you go to prom Alastor?" You asked inquisitively while finishing your own drink and returning to the crowd.

"I did not. Relationships never interested me." He said that and immediately stopped himself
"Well, until I met you." He chuckled at his own words.

"Well, I'll show you a good time tonight. Let's finish our drinks and go dance!" You downed your drink and pulled Al into the middle of the floor.

After a few hours of dancing and laughing, Charlie stood on stage and got everyone's attention.
"Hello everyone! I'm really glad you all came today. I wanted to show my gratitude for the patrons of my Hotel. Angel, you have shown so much improvement in your care for others. I can't imagine where we would be without you. Pentious, I know it might be hard to see, but you have changed everyone here so much. Again, this hotel wouldn't be here without you. Finally, y/n. We are so glad that you are here. No matter how many times you've been put in danger, you always keep your head up. You can brighten up any room you walk in. We almost lost you once, and we will never let that happen again..."

Charlie was still talking but you started to zone out. You looked over at Angel and he held his head low. He looked ashamed. You wanted to approach him to reassure him, but you wanted to keep this a secret for a little while longer. Charlie finished her speech and the group clapped as she left the stage. The band started up again and began playing a slower song than before. You turned to Al, but Lucifer was standing right next to him.
