"Why is it today of all days my hair decides to not work with me." Bianca complained frustrated and desperate for help.
Scarlett finished putting on her earrings before walking over to Bianca to help her pin her hair into place before trying to calm her best friend down "Breathe, I've got this. You look amazing."
"I don't understand how I'm the nervous wreck and you're so calm and collected. This is normally the other way around."
"How the tables have turned. I prefer being on this side than the other." Scarlett teased
"Well I don't. I'm so nervous about going to the ball with Karl, I hardly understand him. He has such a strong accent and I don't speak Bulgarian which makes communication so much more difficult. Why in the world did I accept his invitation?" Bianca started to blab nervously
"Because he spent weeks crushing on you and you spent a month crushing on him and when you guys finally started talking, he made you laugh and feel butterflies and you like him. You've never had a problem understanding his accent before. You're just panicking. We'll get there. He'll see you and be completely knocked over by how beautiful you look in this gorgeous gold gown and you will have the best night of your life. Trust me." Scarlett comforted as she pinned the last section of hair up. "There. Perfect." She continued looking proudly at her work before walking back to put on her purple heels and sorting out any last-minute adjustments to her hair and makeup. She turned to see Bianca smiling at her
"I like seeing you like this Scar. You're so confident and happy. Seems like nothing can phase you anymore. That George despite his annoying pranks has done you good." Her friend said lovingly, making Scarlett blush
"I think so too. You know I've even started understanding the fun of pranking. I pranked Draco last week with Fred and Georgie, sent him a note from 'Krum' to meet him in the woods. He was searching for him for hours before he gave up and returned to the castle only to find Viktor working out with his friends and when he asked why he hadn't met him in the woods Viktor looked at him so confused and Draco went bright red. It was so funny." She replied laughing at the memory of Dracos horrified face at the realisation he had just embarrassed himself in front of his idol.
Bianca shook her head in disappointment "Please don't start pranking me and the girls." hoping her friend didn't become too much like the Weasley twins.
"Don't worry, I understand the fun, but I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty after. Now let's go meet the boys." She said linking arms with her best friend and making their way to the ball.

George was standing at the entrance of the Great Hall with Fred and Angelina waiting for Scarlett to arrive. He was starting to get a bit nervous she had stood him up since Cedric and the boys in her friendship group had arrived 5 minutes ago.
"Calm down Georgie, she hasn't stood you up. Only start to worry when Bianca and the rest of the girls arrive, and she hasn't shown up." Fred said trying to comfort him knowing what was going on in his brothers brain.
"She isn't going to stand you up. She's been excited about dancing with you for weeks now." Angelina joined in, successfully calming George down until he remembered that they were going to dance.
"I really hope all those hours I spent practicing with you sunk in Angie. Especially since it put Letty through all those dumb rumours about us from the big mouths in our house." George said feeling his heart beat faster.
"You haven't stepped on my feet for weeks now and you are actually really good now. Unlike your twin who refused to practice. My feet are going to be in shreds tomorrow and not just from the heels." She joked.
