Although most members of the DA had successfully escaped, it was in vain since Umbridge had found the parchment with all the members names. She had shown the minister forcing Dumbledore to go on the run which meant that Umbridge was now the new headmistress of Hogwarts.
All the DA members had to write lines in the Great Hall as punishment with blood quills every week for a month. Scarlett should have become used to the pain after the second week but wasn't, every time the lines carved into her hand the pain overwhelmed her and she couldn't hold back her tears. When she had been called into Umbridge's office after the DA had been discovered she had spent an hour being lectured about how she was ungrateful for turning against the ministry and Umbridge. Now she had a constant reminder on her hand 'I shall not be disloyal to the Ministry.' The words were slightly smudged from the constant opening and healing. Thankfully this was their last week of punishment so Scarlett tried her hardest not to let the pain get to her, she wasn't succeeding but there were fewer tears this time.
Once their punishment was over Scarlett got up as quickly as possible and avoided eye contact with Umbridge. George caught up with her as she walked out of the Great Hall to see Cho standing outside again, like she had every week after their punishment. Scarlett didn't give her a second glance. Unlike others who shoved Cho as they walked past her Scarlett made sure there was a fair distance between them. George always put himself inbetween the two girls initially thinking Scarlett wanted a barrier so Cho couldn't come over to her but quickly realised Scarlett needed the space so she wouldn't lose control and hurt Cho.
"Thankfully we never have to deal with that again." Fred said as he caught up with the couple, Bianca and Andrew by his side.
"True but the constant reminder on my hand is going to haunt me for a while." Bianca replied before wiping a tear away
"I hate her." Scarlett hissed, her pain turning to anger as it usually did after their punishment. "Why doesn't she just give in and stop reminding us of her presence? Doesn't she realise no one wants to see her?!" She continued the anger growing.
"Now that we don't have to detention anymore I doubt you'll see her much. Especially since we're only really allowed to mix with other houses in class." George reassured her, he was about to pull her into a cuddle but quickly restrained himself knowing breaking educational decree twenty-six, forbidding boys and girls from being within 6 inches of each other, would land them both another detention and he didn't want to be responsible for making her go through the pain of lines again.
The group continued to vent their frustrations until they had to split up to go to their common rooms but Scarlett and George stayed back.
"I miss you." he said
"I can't wait to be out of here so I can be with you again. I miss your touch on my body."
George gulped at her words, it had been a long time since they had been able to hug let alone anything else. The desire for her was growing to a point where being around her was torture. It was worse than when they were pretending to be broken up since they hadn't been as intimate but now the flood gates were open and all he wanted to do was spend the day ravishing her body.
"There is nothing I would rather do than hold you in my arms and kiss you."
Scarlett could see the lust in his eyes, she felt it too. Her breath getting faster, her heart pounding in her chest desperate to be as close to George as it could. Her eyes darted from his eyes to his lips, the memories of the pleasure he created when he kissed her body. She took a step closer to him unable to stop herself from being attracted to him, the rules slipping her mind until voices of other students broke through the sexual tension building between them. They both took a step away from each other making sure the minimum distance was met.
