Chapter 30

Scarlett was sat in Umbridge's new office, bored, thinking of places for her and George could sneak off to, she couldn't go into the Gryffindor common room anymore, there were too many of Umbridge's spies around for that.

"Scarlett? Are you listening to me?" Umbridge asked breaking Scarlett out of her thoughts

"Sorry professor, I was just thinking about what you said, now me and George are over, I should feel heart broken and lonely but instead I feel kind of free." Scarlett lied watching satisfied as Umbridge grew prouder of herself, now was the best time to get information out of her "What were saying about the ministry and Dumbledore again?" Scarlett asked knowing full well Umbridge hadn't said anything about the ministry or Dumbledore.

Umbridge took a sip of her tea and then sighed "Oh Scarlett, the things I know would shock you to your core. Your headmaster is planning on overthrowing the ministry, and the worst part is he's using the innocent students at this school as his pawns to do it. It's why I want to make sure you stay away from Harry Potter and those he associates with. I'm so glad you finally are rid of that Weasley boy, he's such a troublemaker and I know he's part of this underground club Dumbledore is forming but don't worry child, I've already informed the minister of what's happening, and I'll find out who's joined and where they are holding their meetings. I'm going to be interrogating every student in this school till one of them squeals and I can teach those traitors a lesson. You need to be careful Scarlett, stay with Andrew, his family are proud ministry supporters who will protect you and him from the misguided teachings of Dumbledore."

Scarlett nodded but went back off into her thoughts, knowing all the important stuff had been said, the rest of the meeting was going to be Umbridge venting which Scarlett could not bring herself to listen to.

As she walked back to the Hufflepuff common room tired from the day she noticed someone in the corner of her eye, following her. She sighed, she didn't have the energy for this, she barely had the energy to walk, so she made the decision to just ignore the stalker. She continued walking then realised the guy was getting closer and closer. This triggered her and gave her the adrenaline boost she needed

"If you come any closer, I will hex you to Monday morning. Say goodbye to your weekend." She announced whipping her wand out ready with the incantation

"Calm down Letty, it's only me." A familiar voice replied making her smile, she recognised George's voice but was confused because the figure she had seen had not been him. She shrugged it off blaming her fatigue. "We can't be seen in public Georgie."

She didn't turn around but he got closer, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, this is when she noticed something was off, he was shorter and his arms were not those of Georges, she turned around to see Andrew's face smiling down at her. She didn't move knowing that if anyone was around it would look suspicious.

"Andy what in Merlin's name are you doing?! We said we'd pretend to be together in 2 weeks and all we agreed on was hand holding, this is way too close and way too intimate." She said sternly

"You guessed right the first time little bird, I'm George."

Scarlett was shocked but smiled "You made a successful batch of Polyjuice potion?!"

"Good one. Of course not. Angelina made some in potions class and was able to sneak some out to me. I didn't have to ask Andrew twice to give me some of his hair."

Scarlett kissed him overjoyed, this was exactly what she needed after the pain of a day she'd had. When they broke apart Scarlett couldn't help but feel a little bit icked at the fact she kissed Andrew, she knew it wasn't him but it was not the same as kissing George
