"I give up." Scarlett shouted from the bedroom as the twins sat in the living room.
They were relaxing on the sofa still in their workwear. Since school had started the shop was a lot less busy, they were focusing more on their owl deliveries which had allowed them to shut the store at lunchtime. All of Scarlett's cohort had worked the full weekend so they were able to have a half day on Friday and Saturday off.
"What's wrong love?" George shouted back from the sofa.
Scarlett walked out of the bedroom and into the living room wearing one of George's shirts that was oversized on her it was like a dress. She'd messily buttoned it up so not all the buttons matched the correct holes making the bottom a bit too short and sections baggy. Her hair was tied up in a loose messy bun that she hadn't put much effort into so there were a lot of strands that had fallen.
"I've forgotten how to dress for these things."
"That looks good." Fred said without looking at her.
Scarlett was about to give him an earful when she noticed his eyes were glued to a letter he was holding. She looked at George confused but all he did was shrug before trying to sneak a peek at what his twin was reading but that caught Fred's attention so he looked up at the two of them
"Oi stop being nosy you two. Ha! I stick by what I said Scar, this outfit looks good. You should wear that to this ball party thing."
"Haha! You're hilarious. Who's the letter from?"
"None of your business."
"Common Freddie, you can tell us." George pulled Scarlett onto his lap as he tried to coax the information out of his twin
"Why are you keeping secrets from us?" Scarlett inquired leaning over trying to see the letter again
"I'll make you a deal. I'll only tell one of you what this letter contains and you can't tell the other. You can decide between you who gets to know."
The couple looked at each other deciding whether to take the deal, it went against their rule of not having secrets and they couldn't break a promise to Fred so without any words being exchanged they came to a decision and nodded.
"We don't need to know." George replied much to Fred's surprise
"Really?? I'm surprised."
"It's killing me not knowing, believe me but we promised each other to not have secrets anymore." Scarlett replied kissing George on the cheek
"Wow, putting your relationship over finding out information. You two must really love each other."
"Who would have thought right?" Scarlett said sarcastically, amused at Fred's statement
"Craziness if you ask me." George added matching the sarcasm before pulling Scarlett into a kiss
"I get it, please stop making me the third wheel."
The two pulled away smiling proudly "So you going to tell us about the letter?" Scarlett asked leaning her head on George's
"It's from a girl I got with a few weeks ago."
"Which one? The brunette who wore a red mini dress or the blonde with glasses?" Scarlett couldn't stop herself from asking
"How do you know what the girls look like? By the time I come home you two are in your room asleep."
"We're not always asleep." George smirked
"I sometimes run into them in the hallway when I get ready for work in the morning. So, which one is it? From what I remember you only went out twice that week so it could only have been one of those two."
