It had been a week since George had suggested they pretend break up and to Scarletts surprise the plan was working really well, when they were together Umbridge didn't break them apart because of their pretend arguing but when she turned her back on them they would whisper their plans to see each other.
Scarlett was getting changed in her room to go to Hogsmeade with everyone, she enjoyed these times away because Umbridge wasn't able to breathe down her back about who she spent time with, but now that her power within Hogwarts had grown, she knew her and George had to continue the charade in case one of Umbridge's spies caught them and told.
"Scar, do you want to wear the beanie or earmuffs?" Bianca asked
"Earmuffs please, my hair is looking particularly cute today." Scarlett replied as Bianca tossed the earmuffs to her
"We going to the meeting today?"
"I think we should, just to know what it's about."
"True, not to mention if you go, the rest of the Hufflepuffs will go, if you don't none of them will."
"That's a lot of pressure to put on my shoulders Bianca." Scarlett said feeling a lot more responsibility.
"Sorry Scar, but none of us want to go to go to a meeting with Harry unless you are on board. Most of the house are still a bit on edge with him from last year, add on Ced's death, no one wants to look like they are on Harry's side over yours. They all care about you." Bianca explained hoping to relieve Scarlett of the pressure.
"Eurgh life would be so much easier if no one cared." Scarlett sighed sitting on her bed feeling exhausted
Bianca sat next to her "It's a good thing, just shows you how important Ced was to everyone."
"Why did Ced have to be so damn popular" Scarlett attempted to joke but just saying his name made her voice break
Bianca smiled at the attempt "Come on Scar, let's go."
The two put their coats on and made their way to meet their friends to head off to Hogsmeade.
--------
Scarlett was walking with her friends. Fred and George were a few groups behind trying to make it as convincing as possible that Scarlett and George were not on good terms.
"Wait till all the groups go do their different plans and then you can sneak off to the meeting point." Andrew whispered to Scarlett who nodded.
"We going to meet at Hog's head pub before the meeting?" Heidi whispered to the group
"Yeah, but probably best if we make our way in pairs or something, big group of us, waiting outside is bound to bring attention." Bianca replied
"Are we all going to go or should some of us go and then tell those we trust about it." Scarlett interjected
"I think the four of us will be enough, realistically most of our group don't want to go and are happy to go along with what we suggest." Andrew replied
The girls nodded then discussed the other events in their lives.
-------
Scarlett ran over to George when she saw him at their meeting point. As soon as he spotted her his face lit up. Once she got to him she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him, he picked her up and spun her around as she wrapped her legs around his waist, when they broke apart they smiled at each other, staring deeply into each other's eyes.
"I hate not being able to kiss and hug you whenever I want." He said as he put her down
"It's torture, I hate pretending to fight and saying horrible things to you when all I want to do is be in your arms. Eurgh I've cringed myself out." Scarlett said disgusted at how mushy she was being as George laughed at her.
