to you everything's funny, you've got nothing to regret, i'd give all i have honey if you could stay like that.
Jacey rolled over in her bed and reached for her cell phone on the nightstand. It was 7:00 A.M., and she was pretty sure her mom was going to be on her way home soon. They had so many things to do before they had to head over to the Country Club to set up the small gathering they were having for Kaylee's fourth birthday party. She wanted to go swimming, and seeing as Tyler's parents were members of the local country club, they allowed them to use their membership to hold Kaylee's small party. Seeing that she had one new message, she opened it and read the message that was from Tyler.
"Good Morning Beautiful. Hope you slept well."
She looked at the time the text was sent, and it read 6:54 AM. She turned over to look at him, confused at how he was able to send a text in his sleep, especially seeing as his phone didn't look like it had moved a single inch. A smile started to form on his lips. She giggled. "Good morning," she whispered as she attempted to get up but was pulled back down quickly.
"Where're you going?" His voice was deeper than normal and it sent a chill down her spine. She shivered a bit, causing him to smirk. She looked at him and held back a smile.
"Going shower. Go back to sleep" She told him as she wiggled from his loose grasp. He shook his head at her before rolling over and cuddling her pillow. She laughed to herself at the sight. She picked up her dirty clothes from the night before which were scattered on her floor and threw them into her clothes hamper.
Taking her robe off the hook on the back of her bedroom door, she threw it on before she exited her room and made her way to the bathroom. The house was still silent, which meant Kaylee was still asleep. Good. Kaylee was a long, hard sleeper. Nothing in the world could wake her up. It had its pros and cons, but usually, Jacey could never find a con to Kaylee's sleeping habits.
Getting into the shower, she thought about the night before, trying to figure out what her father was thinking. She knew he didn't notice it, but his attempt to have his little girl do what he said was pushing her away. After her parents revealed their divorce to her, she had an ify relationship with him. Sometimes, it was nice, but other times, it was on the rocks.
She tried her best to pretend it was all fine and dandy most of the time. She even bent the truth every once in a while to make it seem as if she had a perfect little family. Her parents' divorce was one of the things that she hated the most about her life. It made her run away from love. It was also one of the reasons she had never actually told Tyler she loved him before last night.
But now, it was over. All the pretending was over. All the love and respect she had for her father were gone. She was over it, and she doubted she would regain any of those things.
She stood under the shower head, rinsing herself and feeling the warmth of the water hitting her body for a few minutes before she finally turned the water off and got out. She quickly dried off before brushing her teeth and putting her robe back on.
Walking out of the bathroom, she heard her mom's voice floating from the kitchen. "When did she get here?" Jacey asked herself as she made her way back to her room. Closing the door behind her, she noticed Tyler staring back at her as she made her way to her to her dresser, taking out one of her swimsuits. "My mom's home."
Tyler ran his hand over his face and sat up in the bed. "Guess that means I should get going." He got up from the bed and stretched, making the typical stretching noise as he scratched his stomach. Jacey looked at him, scratching, and shook her head. That was one thing she never really understood about her boyfriends. The fact that they starched themselves randomly. Tyler looked at his clothing on the floor before he grabbed his boxer briefs off of the floor and slipped them on.
