"Baby." Jacey's voice chimed through the speaker of the phone and through Tyler's office. "Have you left work yet?" she asked with hurt in her voice. He was walking late, and it was nearly seven o'clock.
"I'm about to leave now, baby. I should be home in about an hour if traffic isn't bad," he told her as he cleared the last few papers off of his desk and put them into a folder so he could hand them off to the lawyer over him before he headed out.
"Oh yay!" she exclaimed, causing him to chuckle, knowing she wanted something.
"You want me to stop somewhere?" he asked, throwing his messenger bag over his shoulder and noticing Susan appear in his office's doorway.
"Hey Ty, walk me out?" Susan asked with a smile on her face. Tyler nodded at her and went back to listening to Jacey.
"You just don't want cookie dough ice cream?" he asked Jacey after she requested vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, and plain M&Ms.
"No. Ice cream and cookie dough. I want to make cookies tomorrow for you with the rest," he chuckled again and glanced up at Susan, who was still standing in the doorway. Her face held a less-than-pleased look, which Tyler ignored.
"Alright, baby. I'll get it for you," he told her, checking to see if he was forgetting anything. Seeing that he wasn't, he started toward the door.
"Baby, will you watch Titanic with me?" She asked with a whine, knowing Susan was nearby.
"It's been a long day, love. That movie is three hours." He saw Susan cover her mouth, trying to hold in a laugh. He was getting a bit tired of her snide actions toward him and Jacey's relationship. He heard Jacey let out a sigh. "But I think I can watch Titanic with you."
"I love you," She told him.
"I love you, too, baby, but let me call you back, okay?" He turned off the light in his office and closed the door behind him. Susan, who had moved back slightly, continued to hang on to every word.
"You don't want to talk to me?" Tyler chuckled again.
"I'll call you when I get in the car. I need to hand these files in. Don't need people to know I'm taking personal calls when I'm still an intern."
"Ok. Bye," she said, quickly understanding that her call could have gotten him into some type of trouble.
"Bye." He pressed the end button of his phone and looked at Susan. "Let me go hand these files over, and I'll be right out," she nodded. He heard over a few doors and into another office. He walked out a few minutes later. "Okay. Let's go," he said as he got close to Susan again. He and Susan began to walk in the direction of the parking garage.
"I thought you were having relationship problems," Susan commented as Tyler knew she would.
"We worked it out," he stated simply as he held the door open for her as they reached the door leading to the parking garage. Luckily she was parked near the front so he would he ridding himself from her presence quickly.
