wearing your clothes.

August 6th 2011.

"Look what you did to me," Jacey sang along with "Heartbreak Hotel" by Whitney Houston featuring Kelly Price and Faith Evans.

"Can you please change the song?" Abby asked as politely as she could.

"I WANTED YOUR LOVE!!!" Jacey screamed with the adlibs of the song.

"No, no, NO!" Abby got up, pressed the next button, and went back to her seat before the next song began. "All that depressing ass music," she mumbled right before "Not Gon' Cry" by Mary J. Blige began to play.

"I would stop breathing if you told me to. Now you're busy loving someone else. Eleven years out of my life." Jacey sang along with the song that flowed from her computer speakers as she stalked Tyler's social networks. Abby raised her head from the book she had to read for a college course she would be taking this upcoming semester to look at Jacey,

"Girl, it has been three days. If that. Calm down!"

"It's relatable!" Jacey exclaimed as she continued singing along.

"Besides the kids, I have nothing to show. Wasted my years. A fool of a wife. I should have left you a long time ago," Jacey belted out as she flipped through pictures of them that were on Tyler's Facebook.

"What kids?! You are not married!" Abby exclaimed, shaking her head a little. She knew her friend was going through a lot, but in all honesty, she was being a tad bit ridiculous.

"Look! Read your book, soon-to-be college student. Leave me alone." Jacey snapped with a slight attitude. She closed her laptop, and the music faded as she folded her arms and pouted.

"Speaking of college," Abby stated, noticing Jacey's attire. She was sporting one of Tyler's old college sweatshirts from Berkeley. It was gray with red letters spelling out the name across the front.

"When did you go to Berkeley?" Jacey looked down at the sweatshirt she was fully aware of wearing and remembered the day Tyler had given it to her.

"Ugh. It's so cold." Jacey complained more to herself than to Tyler. Ever since she had seen him, she had been more concerned with impressing him and looking cute than with being warm. Tyler chuckled a little before he opened the back car door and grabbed a gray ball in the backseat. He shook out the wrinkles a bit.

"It doesn't exactly go with your outfit but it will keep you warm." She looked at him with an almost confused face.

"I'm sure you're cuter in it than I am," He told her, trying to ensure her that she would still look beautiful. He was aware of her dressing the way she did was to impress him despite the temperature outside. They had been officially dating all of a month, and she still found herself doing stupid things from time to time to try to impress him. She shook off the thought for a moment with a smile and took his sweatshirt, and slipped it on. It was warm, and it had his scent embedded into the fibers of it.

"Thank you," she said a little above a whisper as she rolled back the sleeve once so that her hands weren't covered.

"I knew it would look better on you than it does on me." Her smile grew wider as they began to walk hand and hand into the restaurant.

Jacey wiped away the tears that were beginning to fall from her eyes. "Okay, new subject," Abby suggested, noticing the pained look on Jacey's face as Tyler was mentioned. She closed her book and tried to think of a new topic that wouldn't remind her of Tyler. It was silent for a second before Abby spoke again: "Hey, do you want to use my car while I'm off at college this semester?"

"Why aren't you just bringing it to LSU with you?" Jacey questioned as she hopped down from the counter and walked over to the fridge.

"Something about my mom wanting me to focus more on school work than partying and stuff," Abby replied with a shrug as she opened her book again. She flipped a page in her textbook and looked at the figures around the text.

"She doesn't know you at all," Jacey commented with a laugh as she took out a canned Sprite and popped it open. Jacey took another Sprite from the fridge and offered it the Abby, who shook her head 'no' as they continued their conversation.

"My thoughts exactly; I figured since I have to pay the insurance anyways, I might as well have someone actually driving it." Jacey could tell she had been thinking about this for a while. Abby's car meant a lot to her. She worked hard to get it and she didn't let just anybody drive it.

"How much is your insurance?" Jacey asked. "I mean why have you pay it if your not driving it?"

"Uh, 200 a month, something like that. You can talk to my mom about it if you want to do that," she suggested, then put her book down again.

"Seems fair," Jacey agreed right before sipping her Sprite.

"I can't believe you're not going with us! We could have been roommates and everything," Abby exclaimed as she got up and went to the fridge.

"Well, if I would have gotten a full scholarship instead of that partial one, I would be right there with you. But I don't know where to find that type of money without having to get a loan." Abby sighed as she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. Jacey could see the disappointment in her facial expression,

"You're going to have to come visit me and Matt."

"You know I will. Maybe when football season starts, I can come to a home game and see Matt play," Jacey suggested. Abby shrugged as she drank her water. She capped the water once she was done gulping it.

"That's perfect," Abby said with a huge smile on her face.
