can't go back, i'm haunted.

"Janae." Jacey walked around Kaylee and Jimmy's classroom, handing out tickets that were contained inside envelopes to the Halloween carnival that was taking place at their school. She spent her whole day helping out in the class as if she were a parent.

"Jacey, where's mine?!" She heard Kaylee shout to her. It was clear to Jacey that Kaylee knew where her name fell in alphabetical order, seeing as she had only passed her name a few students ago.

"I have them, don't worry," Jacey told her sister, continuing to walk around the class. Once she was done, she took a seat on the floor with the children. There were still a good 10 minutes left before they were allowed to leave for the playground and other areas for the afternoon's festivities.

Jacey put the envelopes containing Jimmy's and Kaylee's tickets on the floor next to her when she noticed Jimmy get up and walk toward her. He sat down on her lap, and she wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek. "You can share my tickets with me," Jimmy stated with a smile.

"Did your daddy get you a lot?" Jacey asked him, picking up the envelope with his name on it. She hadn't realized how heavy it was until now. She shook her head before opening the envelope, knowing Tyler overdid himself. She opened the envelope and counted fifty tickets in total.

"What do you want to do first?" She asked as she tore the tickets into sections of five to reduce the hassle of having to do it when he wanted to do things and put them back into the envelope.

"I don't know," he replied with a shrug. He leaned back and rested his back against her.

"We can decide when we get out there, okay?" Jimmy nodded. She handed him his envelope and tickets before she picked up Kaylee's and opened it to count her tickets. She tore the tickets into sets of five, which took a shorter amount of time, seeing as Kaylee only had fifteen tickets altogether. She sighed, knowing that Kaylee would be out of tickets within a few minutes. "Can Kaylee share your tickets too?"

"Yes," Jimmy answered. Jacey looked up for a second and noticed a few of the students in the class had disappeared. She figured some of them had been taken out of the class by an older relative, which was great. Kaylee got up from where she was sitting with some of her friends and walked over to Jacey.

"Jacey, can I get nachos?" Jacey nodded and shrugged her shoulders, not really caring.

"Okay, everyone else, it's time to go to the Halloween Festival!" the teacher said, overly enthused. Jacey helped Jimmy off her lap before standing. She placed all the tickets into one envelope, then took Kaylee's and Jimmy's hands. She led them out of the classroom and onto the playground, where the festival was held.

"What do you want to do first?" Jacey asked.

"Nachos," Kaylee stated.

"You want to eat first, then play?" Jacey asked Jimmy, who shrugged. She led them to the cafeteria. Once there, they stood in the already long line. There were nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, soda, and snacks to choose from. "Kaylee, you want nachos..."

"With everything on them," Kaylee intercepted Jacey.

"And what do you want Jimmy?"

"Chicken nuggets!"

"They don't have any chicken nuggets. There's hot dogs and pizza and..."
