blue dress, angel face, looking in the mirror.

Monday

Jacey made the slurping sound as she finished her Strawberry smoothie. She shook the cup, making sure it was really empty, before dropping the empty cup into a trash bin as she walked past it. She had her iPhone in her hand, randomly taking pictures of things in the city every now and then. She wished Tyler was with her, but he was off doing something for the conference. A dress in the window of a shop caught her eye. She snapped a picture of it and sent it to her Twitter.

She went into the shop and looked for the blue fitted halter dress on the racks that was hanging in the window.

"May I help you?" A male employee asked.

"Ummm... Yes, Ryan," Jacey answered, reading his name off of his name tag. "That dress in the window..." she was interrupted by the noise of her Twitter app. She put her phone in her pocket and continued, "Where can I find it?"

"Oh, I can get that for you, honey," Ryan said slightly to ecstatically. 'He's so gay,' she thought as she pulled her phone out of her pocket.

"This one, right?" Ryan asked, walking back toward her.

"Yes!"

"Oh, I absolutely love this one. It doesn't look good on everybody, though, but I think you will look just fabulous in it," Ryan told Jacey as he handed her the dress.

"You think so?"

"Yaaaas, go try it on, honey!" Jacey didn't move at first. "Go, go," he insisted. Jacey turned and walked toward the sign that read 'fitting' as Ryan followed. Once in a dressing room stall, Jacey began to change out of her jeans and T-shirt. "You're not from here, are you?" Ryan asked from the small couch in the larger dressing room area.

"Nope," She replied back, putting emphasis on the "P".

"Where do you come from?"

"I believe girls are from Venus," Jacey replied jokingly as she slipped into the dress.

"Haha, girl you are funny," Ryan managed while laughing. Jacey didn't find the statement that funny, but Ryan's reaction caused her to giggle a little. Jacey fixed the dress on her and looked at herself in the mirror. She posed a few times, then looked for her phone. "You almost done?" She heard Ryan call.

"Yeah, give me a second," she called back as she posed, took a picture of herself, and then sent it to Twitter. She walked out of the stall, hoping Ryan liked it on her. It wasn't that she cared about a stranger's opinion, but she didn't want to be insulted. Ryan gasped as she came into his view.

"Omg girl! You look fantastic!" He approved.

"You think so? Or do you tell that to everyone?" Jacey asked as she turned.

"NO! I'm telling you the truth. Trust me, you would know if I didn't like it." He told her in a matter-of-fact manner.

"Good, I hope Tyler does too."

"What's a Tyler?" His face seemed to beam at her, and he mentioned the name of a guy. Jacey laughed at Ryan's choice of words.

"He's my boyfriend," Jacey admitted.

"Boyfriend?! Let me see! I know you have a pic of him." Jacey laughed slightly harder because it was true. She had multiple pictures of Tyler. Jacey went into her photo album on her phone and looked at the picture she had taken with Tyler the night before.

"Here's one," she said as she moved closer to Ryan to show off the picture.

"Oh, he is yummy!"

"Thanks!" Jacey said, smiling. Her phone chimed again, indicating another mention from her Twitter app. "That's my best friend commenting on the dress."

@DearAbby: @ComeTyMeUp BUY IT!!! [ 14 seconds ago via web ]

"I guess I'm buying this one!" She told Ryan before she headed back into the dressing room to change back into her clothes. She only hoped that Tyler would like the dress as much as Ryan and Abby did.
