DIANE

I went upstairs, determined to escape the drama downstairs. But as I made my way down the hallway, I saw something move out of the corner of my eye.

I did a double take, but there was nothing there. I started to wonder if my imagination was playing tricks on me, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Isaak had wanted to come with me, but I had insisted that he didn't have to. Even though I knew how much he hated being stuck downstairs, I didn't want to drag him here.

I made my way to my room, feeling uneasy and on edge. As I closed the door behind me, I felt a chill run down my spine. Something wasn't right.

My heart was pounding, and my body felt like it was on fire. I rushed to the bathroom, turning on the cold water. I splashed it on my face, trying to cool down. But my anxiety only continued to build, and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I sat down on the floor, my heart racing. I tried to take deep breaths, but it felt like nothing was helping.

My stomach churned, and I felt like I was going to be sick. I ran to the toilet, emptying the contents of my stomach. I felt dizzy, and I could feel the room spinning around me. I was sure I was going to faint.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. But it felt like the walls were closing in on me, and I couldn't catch my breath.

I heard a knock on the door, and I cringed. I had probably made a lot of noise, and now everyone knew I was having some kind of episode.

"Diane, are you okay?" Roseline's voice came from the other side of the door. I didn't want to worry her, so I did my best to sound normal. "Yes, I'm fine," I said, forcing a smile.

"I just got my period, that's all." I leaned back against the wall, hoping she would buy my lie. I was late for 21 days now.

"Okay," she said, her voice sounding unconvinced. "Call me if you need anything, okay?" I could tell she was worried, but I didn't want to cause any more alarm.

"Thanks," I said, forcing a cheerful tone. As the sound of her footsteps faded away, I felt a wave of relief. But I knew I couldn't just stay in the bathroom forever. I had to figure out a way to get out of this situation.

I pulled myself up from the floor, my legs feeling like jelly. I made my way to the sink, and I splashed cold water on my face again. I grabbed a towel and dried myself off, hoping I looked somewhat presentable.

I could feel a knot in my stomach, my anxiety still present.

I took a deep breath and opened the door. As soon as I did, I felt a force slam me into the wall. The impact knocked the breath out of me, and I could barely catch my breath. I looked up and met a pair of familiar green eyes. My heart sank. It was, "Luka?" I managed to croak out, my voice hoarse. He sneered at me, and I felt a wave of fear wash over me.

Luka and... Gonzalez? smirked, and I felt my blood run cold. "Boss," he said, his voice low and menacing.

"She's over here." I felt a knot in my stomach as I watched him drag Roseline's unconscious body into the room. Her face was pale, and there was a small trail of blood running down her forehead. I felt sick to my stomach, my heart racing. I had to do something, but I was trapped- literally.

My eyes widened as I pieced together what had happened. Gonzalez had let Yulia and Luka into the house. I wanted to shout but I felt my voice caught in my throat.

"What were you saying about my little alliance?" Yulia taunted, a smirk playing on her lips. I felt my blood boil, and I tried to think of a way to get out of this situation.

I glared at her, my blood boiling. "You-" I started, but she cut me off. "Shut up," she hissed, her voice dangerous. "Now, you're going to call Isaak over here." I couldn't help but laugh, the situation was just too absurd.

"You're out of your mind if you think I'm going to do that," I said, my voice shaking with anger. But she just smiled.

"Unless you want your little sister to join your parents in heaven earlier than expected," she said, shrugging. She had ro do better thannjust threatening me.

"Do what you want," I said, my voice shaking with anger and fear. Luka was distracted for a moment, and I saw my opportunity. I gathered all my strength and swung my fist at him, catching him off guard.

My fist connected with his jaw, and he staggered backwards. I took the opportunity to push past him, but he quickly regained his balance and grabbed my arm.

I felt his grip tighten, and I knew I was in trouble. I tried to fight back, but he was too strong. He pulled me back towards Yulia, and I felt a wave of frustratiom wash over me.

I opened my mouth and let out a blood-curdling scream, hoping someone would hear me. Then, I saw more men enter the room. They were all heavily tattooed, and I recognized the Zwane family's distinctive symbol.

I watched in horror as they began to fight with the Italians, the sound of fists hitting flesh echoing through the room.

Gonzalez pinned me to the floor, but in his haste, he forgot about all the training I had done with Isaak. I rolled him over and took advantage of his momentary lapse in concentration, pinning him to the floor. He struggled.

I reached for the blade I had hidden on my thigh, and before he could stop me, I slashed it across his left side.

He gasped, his eyes wide with shock. I quickly helped him to his feet, and then I pushed him over the balcony. I heard a sickening crack as he hit the ground, and I shuddered.

I felt a hand yank on my hair, and I knew it was Luka. I swung my arm around, trying to hit him, but he was too fast. He tightened her grip on my hair, and I winced in pain. I tried to struggle, but I knew I was no match for him. I had to think of something, and fast. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart.

Before I could react, the man was suddenly off me. I turned around to see Isaak standing there, his eyes blazing with anger.

He pulled the Luka's head back and slammed it against the wall, over and over again. Blood began to trickle down Luka's forehead, and I felt sick. But I couldn't help but be relieved that Isaak was here.

"I thought you knew better than to touch my woman," he snarled, his voice filled with menace.

Isaak banged the his head against the wall once more, before dropping him to the ground like he was nothing.

I could see the Luka's eyes roll back in his head, and I knew he was seeing stars. Isaak pulled two blades from his belt, and I watched in horror as he drove them into the his legs.

He was ruthless, and I couldn't look away. He was determined to make a point, and I knew I had never seen him in his element.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I quickly grabbed it, flipping the person over.

It was a woman, her face twisted in anger. I recognized the tattoo on her arm, the Zwane symbol. I knew I had to make this quick, so I reached for her gun and pulled it from her holster. She tried to fight me, but I was faster. I pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger.

I watched as she fell to the ground, the life draining from her eyes. I felt numb, and I knew I had to keep moving.

There was blood everywhere,  bodies everywhere, people's eyes blazing with fury.

My only thought, where was Yulia and Roseline.

I couldn't help but think about Yulia and Roseline, and I hoped they were safe. I had to find them, and I had to make sure they were okay. But I didn't know where to start. I felt lost, and the room was spinning. I had to focus, or else I would never find them.

And for some reason

it worried me.
