Amy and I walked into English arm-in-arm. "...And I can't believe he would even agree to that! He hates sushi. It makes him physically ill. Which is why I brought a bucket just in case, but turns out-"

Her voice faded into the background when I locked eyes with a pair of honey-gold orbs that was seated directly behind Alice. He's in this class?! My breath hitched in my throat when he flashed me a tender smile that made his ember eyes dance. Amy gasped, squeezing my arm with her other hand.

"OMG! He's in this class!" She whispered quite loudly, her eyes growing with excitement. "How lucky are we?!"

I was at a loss for words as I stared at her in disbelief. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Emmett's shoulders shaking with silent laughter as Amy and I took our seats.

"Hi!" Alice beamed at me the second I sat down beside her.

"Hey." I returned her smile to the best of my ability, noting out of the corner of my eye that Edward's eyes never left my face.

Emmett snickered quietly. He reminded me so much of Fred and George— What with their uncanny ability to find amusement where there is none. I found myself smiling fondly at the thought of them.

Amy wasted no time in spinning around in her seat to face me before looking over my shoulder and blushing cherry-red.

She leaned towards me and whispered in my ear, "He's so cute! And he won't stop staring at you."

I couldn't help but frown, knitting my brows in worry as I whispered back, "..Is there something on my face or something?"

I started touching my hair and face self-consciously. Amy gave me a disbelieving look, narrowing her eyes at me.

"NO." She hissed in a whisper, sounding appalled before she flashed me a smug smile and mumbled, ".:The only thing on you is a pair of gorgeous eyeballs."

Instantly, I blushed, my cheeks heating up in embarrassment.

"Shhh," I quietly shushed her, my eyes threatening to pop out of their sockets. "He might hear you."

Now, the three Cullens were all chuckling to themselves. My blushing intensified as Amy simply rolled her eyes.

"Puh-lease." She waved her hand in the air dismissively. "He's not Dolores Madrigal."

I quirked a brow in confusion. "Who?"

"Dolores.. Off Encanto. You know— The girl with super hearing," she stated, clearly waiting for me to catch on.

Which I didn't. "Right.." I trailed off.

"Besides.. Boys have selective hearing at best." She beamed at me.

That much was true. I chose to distract myself by pulling out my notebook and flipping to a random page where I started drawing abstract shapes. Amy pursed her lips, watching as I doodled absentmindedly. All the while, every nerve in my body was distinctly aware that his eyes were watching every subtle move I made.
