It was yet another normal day for Taehyun. He walked to school hand in hand with his best friend, Hueningkai, while talking about his day. He listened to the teacher's jabber and wrote down some notes, but of course, he didn't forget to make jokes or play around with Hueningkai who was also his seatmate.
Today was normal but it was also one of those rare days where their manager let them be free and walk to school without any guard following them around and attracting more attention to them.
"It feels really good to act like normal teenagers and do whatever we want without anyone constantly worrying about our whereabouts" Taehyun told Hueningkai during their lunch break while munching on his sandwich.
Hueningkai hummed and took a sip out of his drink, he then put the bottle on the table and turned to Taehyun.
"But I'm sure it won't too be long till we graduate and then we will have wayyy more guards around us, we should really enjoy what we have right now"
Taehyun nodded and the two continued eating their lunch in silence until someone walked up to them with a paper in their hand.
"Oh gosh! Not again!" Hueningkai rolled his eyes and tried to act unbothered even though deep down he just wanted to smack that annoying smile off of the girl's face.
"Heyy! Me and my friends noticed you two were sitting alone, do you mind us sitting with you? We can get to know each other!"
Taehyun looked at Hueningkai from the side of his eye and after Hueningkai gave him a little nod, he opened his mouth to speak,
"Actually we do mind you being here, me and Huening are perfectly fine by ourselves, tell your friends that we don't need their pity"
Taehyun smiled at the girl who had her mouth left open and soon an embarrassed look shot over her face. She looked down and gave the paper in her hand to the boys, they both looked at each other before sighing and taking it.
They quickly scribbled on the paper and gave it back to the girl who ran away as fast as she could.
He looked over to Hueningkai and the two burst out laughing.
It wasn't something new to have students walk up to them and ask for their signature or a selfie, after all they weren't just two ordinary boys, they were members of the K-pop group TXT.
But they still hadn't gotten used to the stares and whispers as they walked down the hallways, nothing could have prepared them for this.
Their hyungs, who luckily had finished their school before debuting, didn't have to go through it, though. But that still didn't mean they didn't get cameras shoved up their faces and the media asking them questions, it was all part of the idol life and the five had accepted their fate.
"I really hope school ends quicker so we can go back to dorms, I don't think I even remember what the last teacher yapped about," Hueningkai yawned and put his head on the table all while looking at Taehyun who was lost in his thoughts.
His best friend's features were something that could never go unnoticed, from his big, pretty, doe eyes to his sharp and tall nose, his cheeks that stood high like mountains and finally his pink plump lips, Taehyun was just the definition of perfection.
"I was thinking of talking to him about everything today" Taehyun finally spoke and looked down at Hueningkai.
"Who? About what?"
"You know, Gyu hyung"
"I really think you should too, it's better to say it now that you are sure he isn't with anyone else than confessing when he has a girlfriend or boyfriend, and if he rejected you, then let it be. Nothing a bowl of ramen and ice cream can't help."
