a/n— this is short but I need more rhaena and Luke fics. also is their ship name?

"it was an accident!" Rhaenyra yelled at Alicent.

"no! no! my son has lost an eye! a debt is to be paid and if you won't offer your son's eye than he should be sent into exile!" alicent screamed as she held her son close. Aemma and Viserys looked conflicted between the screaming mothers.

"brother, Lucerys was defending Jace. Alicent must be too tired to think properly of the actions she's asking for," daemon stepped in.

Viserys was defeated truly. he was tired and the arguing never made him any better. "the boy will go into exile till his eighteenth birthday. send him on the ship to Essos or Pentos."

"father-" Rhaenyra was about to begin pleding with him.

"no! enough! this matter is finished!" Viserys yelled. "ser Criston see Lucerys Velaryon away now."

"father, no, let me say goodbye," Rhaenyra pleaded again, her tears were pouring down her cheeks as Lucerys held her hands tightly.

"mother," the boy sobbed.

"Viserys, let Rhaenyra say goodbye," Aemma attempted to plea with the king.

"take him," he ordered, his heart hammered against his chest as he tried to ignore the sobs behind him.

"my king! please listen to reason!" Celine shouted as she tried to block the boy.

"mother!" Lucerys was ripped away from Rhaenyra's hold and dragged off. "mother!" Lucerys screamed and cried as his last view was Aemond giving him a satisfied smile. the small boy was thrown on a ship and was sent off. he was confused, sad, and sick since he couldn't handle being on a ship.

"mama," he whimpered as Driftmark became a speck in his vision.

years passed and Lucerys made a home for himself. he could've easily gotten a lord to take him in for such title and name he possessed. he chose not to because he felt like he didn't deserve such kindness. the small boy landed in a Dorthraki horde. the women took him in and he became their greatest possession. growing up he was taught the Dorthraki language, taught to hunt, and fish. after some years with them he bid leave and he went to Volantis. he spent his remaining years with the red priestesses. there he learned high valyrian, finished whatever schooling things he left in Driftmark, even magic they allowed him to do. just like the Dorthraki, the red priestesses loved Lucerys. on his eighteenth birthday it was his last day in exile. to say he was excited to go back home was an understatement. he was ready to wreck havoc. the longing and yearning for the warmth of his mother and grandmother kept him going. the anger and hatred for Aemond, Viserys, and Alicent kept him alive.

Rhaenyra entered a heavy depression when Lucerys was snatched from her loving hands. returning to Kings Landing was just more painful when she was told of the passing of Ser Harwin Strong. she always wore her silver hair down, not a single braid, her dresses were always in black. She abandoned her duties as future heir and refused to give more heirs. many say she died when Lucerys was taken. Aemma confided herself to her quarters never visiting anyone or Viserys. Viserys was slowly rotting and dying in his bed with Alicent and Otto at his side. Daemon sought to it that Jace was properly trained. as Jace grew up, curls that went down to his shoulders, he has a similar build to Aemond. Aemond took opportunity of becoming something more than just the rider of Vhagar. he needed to be a prince of the realm and that includes taking in a wife.

he hoped with enough engagement with Corlys and Rhaenys they would give the princess Rhaena to him. although the girl would always ignore him when they moved into Kings Landing but short after that to Dragonstone. he would occasionally visit her and send letters but he never got anything back. Rhaena personally hated the man. because of him taking Vhagar, her future dragon, led to Luke taking his eye out in their defense. when Rhaena was bored she played with Aemond. a simple hello or thankful gesture but that was all. she counted the days down to Luke's birthday which is when he would be able to return. she received occasional letters from Celine stating he was doing alright but it was vague because of her spies who were relaying the messages.
