Chapter 43

Quite sometime in the future
Cris's vision

I was getting out of the shower, about to put on the most lovely dress ever, that my soon to be husband will be in awed from. He would be falling in love with me all over again. Like he did from day one.
Even though we took our time, but this was well worth the wait.
Lilly came into the room in the most beautiful lavender sundress ever. When she came in she walked right over to me to tell me that it was almost time that I had to get dressed. I nodded my head the opened my closet to get out the dress that my mother had given me. She wore it for both of her weddings and passed it down to me when she heard that Adrian and I finally decided to get married.
It's been about 20 years since I met Adrian. He was the most handsome man I've ever seen and not feeling the mate bond, I still was in love with this man. Not telling him that I loved him for awhile, I still kept it slow pace and watched him woo me over time was the best feeling ever until he finally told me his true feelings.
It all felt like it was yesterday when he came and told me. That he told me he loved me since the day he walked into the school and saw how beautiful I was. He didn't care if I was human or a witch or what. All he saw was pure beauty.
And when the day had came when he brought everyone together just to tell me all over again how much he loved me just to propose to me it was wonderful.
We were all outside for the cookout, a little graduation ceremony for us that had went together to go finish college. That was damn near half the pack.
We all were eating, drinking, and all of us were dancing to the music that was playing. It was exciting. Until the moment that Adrian had bent down in front of me with a ring in his hand making everyone stop in there tracks. I stopped dancing and looked around and saw everyone staring at us then finally looked at him.

"Cris's the love of my life, I know after all the struggles and not rushing into anything until the time was right but after being with you and fought beside you for these so many years, I want to make it official for you to be my wife." He had said to me.
"Adrian," I said. "What took you so long." I said laughing at him. "Yes, I will be yours." I told him then he put the ring on me.

Everyone cheered for us and just like that months down the line a wedding was happening.
I found myself in a dress, walking down the aisle, right towards Adrian. My mother and Lilly was on my side and Adrian's beta and father on his side. It was perfect.
As when they asked us if we take each other right before we said I do, we were attacked.

Vision over

I gasped and sat up. I started to cry a little because it was all so beautiful and messed up that someone or something ruined the most precious moment of my life.
I got up from the bed and went to the window and looked out. There wasn't a lot of people out in front. Mostly the guards walking around.
I was so mad at my vision that I didn't even know I got visions in the first place. I didn't even know I was that mad until I heard a huge explosion up front and when I looked I saw lightning hit the ground a few times. Making the guards jump where they were.
That's when I heard my bedroom door open and someone touched me. When I looked it was Adrian. When I turned around, he wasn't the only one. Lilly was behind him by the door.

"Cris it's okay?" Adrian said.
"Huh?" I asked.
"I felt you were upset Cris." Lilly said. "I can feel you now that we've became stronger together. I ran and told Adrian that you were upset that's when we heard the lightning. I knew it was from you because we don't have any rain or storms in the forecast today."
"Why was you upset?" Adrian asked me.
"I had a vision of something that happens about 20 years from now and I was shocked at what happened." I had said.
"Vision? You get visions?" Adrian asked me.
"I guess I do."
"Most witches do." Lilly said. "But what was this vision about?"
"Umm, heh" I started laughing a little weirdly. "It was about us." I said then looked down blushing.
"What you mean us?" Lilly asked.
"Us as in Adrian and me." I said playing with my hands.
"Dear, what's wrong?" Adrian asked as he bent down on his knees to get a good look at me.
"Umm, it's a little embarrassing."
"How so? Tell me please?" He asked me putting his hand on my chin to lift my head up.
"Well we finally decided to date. But not just date, we finally became the mates we should be together. Then we all went to college together and graduated from there and while we were having a graduation ceremony party, you had proposed to me. Well time had went on and it was our wedding day and while we were saying "I do" we got attacked. That was the end of my vision. I woke up from that and went to the window to look out to figure out what that vision was about mostly. Like did I really have that vision or was it a dream.
"But thinking if it was true, why in the world did we get attacked for on a very special occasion. My day. I just got so mad that, that" as I was trying to think what to say another shot of lightning had struck outside. I jumped at the sound.
"Cris, it's okay. I'm here." Adrian said pulling me into his arms. "I will never let anyone hurt you as long as I'm here."

I nodded my head at him and believed him.
