Chapter 41

About a week later, I've gotten a lot more stronger. I mean I've been practicing my powers in the basement of the alpha house along with Lilly's parents and Lilly too, since she's now out of the hospital. I've been doing a lot more spells on certain things. They were mostly easy ones for me so if I messed up, nothing wouldn't happen.
But I mostly worked with my telekinesis powers and I've learned to heal a lot more than I use to. I umm burned Adrian on an accident when I was practicing. He came down the basement to talk to me and when he spoke he scared the living shit out of me and I swung my arm and sent him flying and broke his arm. I felt very bad over it. Kim told me to place my hands on his arm and say a little spell and in seconds his arm was healed like nothing happened.
But man I felt so bad that I hurt my mate. I cried when I saw what I had did and every time I told him I was sorry, he would smile and brush it off.

"Babe, it's fine. I'm okay. You healed me, no biggie." Adrian told me then kissed my forehead then pulled me into a hug afterwards.

I smiled when he done that. I felt whole, I felt warm all inside.

"What's that warm feeling I feel inside?" I asked.
"What's do you mean?" Adrian asked me as he pulled away.
"Well when you hugged me, I felt a warm feeling inside."
"Maybe it's the mate bond." Marcus said. "I mean yall been more out there with each other with yall feelings."
"What do you feel when you hug Cris?" Kim asked Adrian.
"I feel sparks. Like electricity flowing through my body. Like it's giving me energy of some sorts. Like I feel stronger." Adrian said. "Like I just want to take her right here right now in this moment of time." When Adrian said that I started blushing, making Kim, Marcus, and Lilly chuckle a little. "But I know we're waiting for the right time though so I know I can't. And plus yall are in here so another reason I can't."
"So it's the mate bond then?" I asked.
"Maybe so, dear." Kim said with a smile.
"Alrighty then, let's get back to work." Lilly said with a smile. "I want to teach you how to fight without your powers."
"You really want to do that right now?" I asked her.
"Sure why not." Lilly said.
"Okay." I said. "Because I don't know how to really fight hand to hand."
"It's fine. You'll learn." Lilly told me.

Adrian smiled a little then walked away and stood by Lilly's parents against the wall. He was spectating me on my training.
We done some easy stuff that I already knew but a bit harder and faster. I knocked her down a few times and shit she got me down more than I can count. Every time I fell, Adrian would growl a little bit but he said he was fine it was Adam that was the one growling. He was protective of me.
After a few hours, of learning all types of new things, I was all wore out. I was all sweaty and ready for a shower. And maybe a nap.
Lilly agreed with me, she was wore out too. So we all went back upstairs to the main floor, went into the kitchen and grabbed all of us water to drink.
After I grabbed me a water, Adrian walked me up to my room and told me to go shower. I smile at him when he was being a gentleman. We still haven't done anything other than he gives me a few kisses here and there but that was about it. We hold hands when we walk together but that's all we do. I'm more afraid to do anything else.
As we got to my room, he told me he would see me later after my shower that he had a surprise for me. But it was for later tonight.
After I walked in, he shut the door to leave me alone. Which was very nice of him. I haven't moved into his room yet, I told him I was still thinking about out it. Like we've said, I don't want to rush into anything. But who knows when that will happen.
After my long shower, I got out and got dressed. I put something nice on well, more comfortable so whatever Adrian is up too I don't act too fancy or too snobby or whatever.
After I gotten dressed, I sat on the bed and watched a little tv to pass the time. But from being all wore out from training I actually passed out.

Adrian's pov

After I told Cris I had plans for her, I hurried up and took my own shower since I also went training at the gym with some of the guards and warriors.
Early I told Ryan what I wanted to do to get more into me but keep it real and settle. For her to start to fall for me. Ryan just told me to be careful and I'm trying but also trying not to push her or rush her into it. But what I had planned was a little candle lite dinner in the kitchen. Just me and her. I told Ryan to keep Lilly away and busy. Told my dad to take out Ms Carrie on a date or something while I had the house sorta to myself for a few hours.
Once I was done with my shower, I got out put on some nice slacks, a button up shirt, and some nice shoes on. Once I was good to go, I hurried downstairs into the kitchen and cleaned up a little in there. I turned the oven on to 350 degrees, then went to the fridge and looked in there for what I needed to cook for dinner. I had found some nice chicken breast, put them in a glass pan and season them up real nice and good. Set that to the side then started working on some sides dishes. I grabbed a pot and put water in it for some Mac and cheese, put it on the stove to let it boil then went to the cabinet to grab some vegetables. I grabbed a few cans of mixed veggies and put them in a pot then put it on the stovetop as well to let it cook.
As the oven went off, I placed the chicken in the oven and set a timer for about 20 minutes. As I set that, I went back to the fridge and started working on salads for both me and her. As I made two small bowls, I placed them on the side and started working on dessert. I started making no baked strawberry cheesecake. I heard from her mother it was one of her favorites and I thought that would get her going. Get me some good boy points. I laughed when I said that in my head.

"You fuck this up, I swear to god I'll kill you." Adam said to me.
"Please, I'm not gonna mess this up. I just want to show her that I'm serious about us. You heard her earlier that she's feeling the bond. Me doing nice things like this and us hanging out is working out for the bond." I told Adam.

He rolled his eyes at me. Stupid wolf I swear.
After I got down with the cheesecake, I put it in the fridge so it can settle down. As I was placing it in there, the oven went off to tell me the chicken was done. Along with the Mac and cheese and the veggies. Once I set everything on the table grabbed two places and two glasses on the table and made us our places and out the bowl of salads next to the plates. I grabbed some wine and poured a little bit in the glasses then lite the candles that I had found earlier.
Once I did all that I went upstairs to Cris's room and knocked on the door. I knocked a few times before she finally opened the door. When she opened the door, she looked like she was asleep.

"Oh, was you sleeping? I'm so sorry."
"No it's fine. Was there anything you needed?" She asked me.
"Well yeah, sorta. I made dinner for us."
"Oh you did." She said. "Great I'm starving." She said with a small laugh.

I smiled then grabbed her hand and went back downstairs to the kitchen. When we walked in, she had stopped walking and pulled me back some.

"You did all of this for me?" She asked.
"Yeah. I wanted to show you that I care about you and that I want you to know that I mean what I said about us."
"Awe Adrian." She said as she walked over to the table. "Let this be the start okay." She told me

I nodded my head with a smile before sitting down. We started eating what I had made and she was loving every little bit of everything. When we both finished our salads and dinner, I got up and picked up all of dishes and put them in the sink. Then went to the fridge and checked on the cheesecake to see if it was done and it was. So I grabbed it and brought it over to the table and when she saw it her eyes lit up like 4th of July.

"Oh no you didn't. You made my favorite cheesecake. Man I don't know if I can eat this."
"If you can't it's fine. Just know it's been made just for you." I told her.
"Hell with it, I'll take a small piece of it." She said.

I chuckled then started cutting up the cake to get her a small slice and man when she took her first bite she moaned as she let it melt in her mouth.

"God this is so good." She said as she took another bite.
"Thanks."
As she took a sip of her wine, she cleared her throat before speaking. "Thank you for all of this really. I know I'm being hard on you and I know you're trying, really. It's just after Kenny doing what he did to me and I've never really dated anyone before." She told me. "I really appreciate you doing what you do for me and my moms. I know she's dating your dad and all I just hope what your ex Serena had said about us being gold diggers isn't true you know."
"I know, dad gave you his card to get what you wanted. I know the truth." I told her.
"Thanks. Umm, so can I ask do you know when we're leaving to go to New Orleans?"
"I can ask tomorrow for you." I told her.
"Thanks."

I smiled at her after that. I kinda didn't want her to go there. I mean I know she's needs to find her family and learn more about herself and her powers but I'm kinda scared for her. It's a new place and all types of different supernatural beings and all types of stuff. What if something happens I don't know if I can watch or not.
But as her mate, I need to be there for her and let her do what she has to do. Even if it kills me.
