Chapter 36

After our long talk about how I felt about what I heard from the goddess, he left the room to give me time alone. Which helped me go back to sleep for a few more hours but sleep didn't last long.
I woke up around 8am. Not that I could sleep anymore my body just wanted me up.
So I got out of bed, walked downstairs and went into the kitchen. Lilly and Ryan were sitting at the island eating breakfast that the omegas were cooking for the alpha house.

"Morning." I said as I walked in there.

Everyone looked at me like I grew two heads or something.

"When did you wake up?" Lilly asked.
"Just now."
"No I mean from your little coma?"
"Oh, umm late last night. No one told you?"
"No," Lilly said then looked at Ryan. "Did you know?"
"I'm just as shocked as you are dear." Ryan said.
"Well that's fucked up, I'm your guardian and no one told me."
"Well it was late Lilly."
"I don't care." Lilly said then hollered out. "Adrian! Carrie!"

A few moments later they came running into the kitchen.

"What are you hollering about?" Adrian asked.
"Morning dear." My mother said as she rubbed her hand on my arm.
"Why didn't yall tell me she was awake?" Lilly asked them.
"Honey, it was late. We got woken up by one of the guards about her being awake." My mother told her.
"Why didn't I get woke up?"
"I don't know."
"Because I didn't want anyone else knowing she was awake yet. It was late when she woke up okay." Adrian told her.

Lilly crossed her arms at them which got a laugh out of me.

"Someone's laughing which is good." Lucifer said as he kissed my mom's head. "So I have to go, for a pack meeting at the Hill's ranch, three towns away. Are you going to be okay here by yourself without me?" He asked my mom.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" She asked him.
"Well I didn't want the pack thinking anything if you were walking around the pack lands without me."
"Oh, no I have to go into town to go to the store. I have to do end of the week inventory." My mom told him. "And catch up on paperwork. I can't just stay away."
"I wish you wouldn't go alone especially with these vamps."
"I think she'll be fine. They're not after her, they're after me." I brought up.
"Yeah, well they might use that to their advantage to get to you dear." He brought up. "I'll have a few of the guards go into town with you just to make sure you're fine."
"Okay, whatever my big alpha man says." She said walking her fingers up his arm.

Gross. I thought to myself. I turned my head away from that and looked outside through the window.

"So anyways, when are we leaving?" Lilly asked us trying to distract me from what my mother just did.
"Whenever the dr says I'm good to go. Hopefully soon because I have to get ready before shit goes bananas." I told her.
"He said a few days, Cris. Just relax." My mother said.
"Relax. Relax! How the fuck can I relax when there's something after me. I don't even know how to use my powers correctly or how to control them." As I was getting angry, I blew up the toaster.

Lilly and the omega screamed, Ryan covered Lilly, Lucifer covered my mother and Adrian covered me.
After a few moments later everyone had recovered with what just happened. Everyone looked around to see what exploded then looked at me. Adrian still had his arms around me.
I started to tear up a little bit because of what I did. I knew it was me and I don't even know if they knew it was me. I just wanted to run away at that point in time but I couldn't.

"Was that you?" Lilly asked me.
"Yes, I think so."
"So your powers are connected to your emotions as well." My mother said. "Your dad had to lock himself up in the hidden secret room when he was pissed because of his powers."
"Great, thanks for the warning." I said sarcastically then pushed Adrian off of me and went up to my room.

Adrian's pov

When Cris pushed me off of her then went up to her room, I looked at everyone. I didn't know what to do. She's my mate and I can't even help her. Well more like she won't let me help her out.

"Just give her time dear." Her mother told me rubbing my arm. "Well I better get going." She said as she and my father walked towards the other room.
"Man, I hate this for her." Lilly said. "What about school? How's she gonna do all that if she can't even control her powers. And speaking of school, how long are we gonna be out?"
"I don't know how long we're gonna be in New Orleans. I guess until she can control them and herself. So pack at least a months for of clothes. I mean Ryan and I will have our black cards so we can buy y'all clothes."
"That sounds like we're gold diggers. The gossip people is gonna be saying about that." Lilly said.
"Well you're my girlfriend so I can buy you what the fuck I want to buy you." Ryan said then kissed Lilly's neck.
"Cris's my mate so that goes about the same, if she let me."
"Like Carrie said just give her some time. She hasn't had a man in years to do anything for her. It's always been her and her mother. Carries loving it all up though. But I'm happy for Carrie. I haven't seen her this happy since they lost Michael."

I nodded my head at what she had said.
The same goes for my father. It's been a long time since I saw him smile or laugh or even cared about anything other than the pack. He's going out more since he's gotten with Carrie. Other than traveling for work or the pack. I'm glad they found each other.
Now it's my turn to be happy.
I told the omega to leave for now. So I made food for Cris and I. I packed up a good portion of everything in a basket and found a big enough bag and blanket. I was gonna do something special for Cris.
I walked out the door once I had everything good to go and walked up the hill where I like to be at just to see everything. I set up everything then went back to go get Cris. I was gonna make everything abut her today.
To make her feel wanted and feel special about herself. To show her that she is loved by me that I truly care for her. Just hope it's enough.
