Chapter 42

Cris's pov

After dinner, which was absolutely amazing and delicious, Adrian walked me up to my room so I can go back to sleep again. Which I did, after eating all that food. It put me in a food coma.
The next following day, I stayed in bed mostly. I was still so tired and I felt like I had no energy whatsoever after yesterday. Using my powers sure did drain me.
Lilly and my mom checked on me a few times. Lilly said that her parents said that using some spells that you've never done or using your powers a lot during a certain period of time like the training section may have done it since I'm not use to using powers and that I'm still not that strong enough.
When I came downstairs to get some food, everyone was in the kitchen eating and I over heard them talking about me.

"Cris needs to go to New Orleans quick. They will help her ways we can't. Her powers are draining her body from her training section yesterday." Kim said.
"I know yall hate to have her go but it's the best way for her." Marcus said.
"I mean it ain't like she's gonna be alone. She'll have me and Adrian."
"Ain't like I'm gonna let you go alone. I'm going too." Ryan said. "I've already talk to Adrian about this."
"I'm just afraid of getting there and shit happens." Adrian said.

I was a little shock on what he said. He never said anything to me about that. And he's always telling me his feelings.
I walked back towards the stairs and yawned kinda loudly so they know I was coming. I heard them say "shhh she's coming." Which made me chuckle in my head a little. For werewolves, you couldn't hear me coming. But then again they were talking so.
When I walked into the kitchen, they all turned my way when I came into view. Adrian came over to me and grabbed my hand and helped me over to the table.

"Hey honey, how you feeling?" My mother asked me.
"Tired. And hungry like I could eat a horse." I said with a laugh.
"Here eat, love." Adrian said walking over to make me a plate of what they were eating.
"Thanks." I said. "So what were you guys talking about?"
"Nothin really." Lilly said.

It was quiet for a few moments while everyone ate. Adrian was standing behind me rubbing my shoulders while I ate but I knew something was up. But I didn't say or do anything about it. Just let everything play out.

"So Cris, I was thinking." Lucifer spoke. "I heard back from the dr and he said you were good. That you didn't have any more of that stuff in you, you're like 100% better. So," he said as he looked over at the others. "I've talk to your mom last night about this and I know it's gonna be hard on her, but I'm going to call the alpha in New Orleans and tell him your coming in the next few days. And I'm gonna call the airlines and set everything up."
"I thought it was like a 4-6 hours trip from here?" I asked.
"No," he said with a chuckle. "Your mom thought so too. But it's like an almost half a days drive and if you fly there you be there in a few hours. I'll have a car waiting for yall when yall get there as well."
"You sure, we can drive there." Adrian said.
"I know, but like Kim and Marcus said the faster Cris gets there the better. So go make sure you all are all packed up and ready to go. I can have yall ready to go by tomorrow evening." Lucifer said.

I stood up so fast from my chair that I knocked Adrian over and ran to Lucifer to give him the biggest hug ever. Everyone laughed at both Adrian from falling to the ground and me giving Lucifer a hug of excitement.

"Oh thank you so much." I told him when I hugged him.
"You're welcome." He told me as I let him go.

When I went back to my seat, Adrian was still sitting on the ground. I looked at him with a small smile to tell him sorry and held out my hand to help him up. He grabbed it and I pulled him up, right into me. Before he knocked me over he grabbed me and put his hand on the chair so we both didn't fall over. We both laughed.
He fixed the chair for us. He sat in it and sat me in his lap. I blushed a little when he did that.
We resumed back to eating well me at least. Adrian ate a little bit off my plate and fed me some just to mess with me. It felt nice to be cared for.
As we all sat there and ate well talked some more about this trip of ours. Kim and Marcus told me that once I get there, I will feel a power source and I will become stronger because I will be close to my ancestors there.
After we discussed our plans and finished eating, we all went our way up to our rooms. I started going through all my stuff on what I wanted to take with me and began repacking everything. I packed a few bags; 1 bag was all my witchcraft stuff and my book, another bag was my clothes, at least a months worth of outfits, another bag was socks, underwear, and bras. I even brought a few training outfits to workout in or jog around in. After I was finished doing all that, I placed all the bags by the door so when it was time to leave tomorrow, I can grabbed them and go.
I couldn't wait to travel to a new place. I needed a well good vacation to get out of this god forsaken town after the shit I've been through.
Do t get me wrong I love this town. I was born here, my family what I have left is here. And my friends, well most of them that is.
But for those that are after me, they will think twice again if they come after me.
