Lilith's pov

My arms tightened around Kadence when she placed kisses up my neck. Kadence leaned up and pecked my lips. I look at her with a smile.

"Good morning," I say. Kadence smiles at me.

"Morning."

Kadence and I go to the bathroom and get ready for the morning. We take a shower and brush our teeth before changing and brushing through our hair.

Kadence jumped onto my back. I hook my arms around her legs as I carry her down the stairs. Cadell and Lily were in the kitchen. I backed up to the counter before putting Kadence down. I turned around so I was facing her. My eyes went to Lily. She was eating breakfast and drinking coffee.

"You smell like a mated woman," I mutter. Lily choked on her coffee. Kadence hit my shoulder while smiling. Cadell was chuckling, causing Lily to glare at him. Cadell stopped chuckling immediately. "Already in the graveyard, Cadell?" I asked. Cadell shot me a glare when he accidently started laughing again.

"You're making this harder for me, keep quiet," Cadell mumbled under his breath. I sent him a smirk.

"I would ask how it was Lily but unfortunately for me I heard," I mutter. Kadence hit me again.

"Lilith!" Kadence muttered warningly. Lily's face was bright red as she hid her face in her hands.

"Where were you both last night? I didn't hear you guys come in until 2 in the morning," Cadell asked, changing the subject.

"We were at the pack house," I say, wrapping my arms around Kadence and leaning into her. Kadence wrapped her arms around me.

"Did you get hurt?" Lily asked. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Yeah, how did you know?" I asked. Cadell looks at me with a weird look.

"You have a scar from being clawed by a wolf," Cadell motions to my face. I pull away from Kadence. My eyebrows furrowed.

"What do you mean?" I asked. Kadence looked at me as she bit her lip.

"Have you not looked in the mirror this morning?" Lily asked.

"No, I don't look at myself in the mirror, it's weird," I say. Lily raised an eyebrow. I walked over to the closest mirror which was by the entrance of the kitchen.

"Why is it weird?" Lily asked. I look at my face seeing the scar. I shift into Brezin's body.

"This is what I'm used to seeing. I spent most of my life like this," I say before shifting back.

My hand pulls down my shirt covering my shoulder. I have another scar from being bitten. I look at it with a tilted head. I move away from the mirror. My hands grip the hem of my shirts before I pull it off. I look down at my chest. My chest was littered with even more scars from the rogue trying to rip me apart.

"What the hell happened?" Cadell asked. I trace a scar.

"I was attacked by a rogue. Ryland said they laced their teeth and claws with silver. I didn't realize it would scar," I say. Before putting my shirt on.

"You ok?" Kadence asked. I look up at her with a smile.

"Yeah I'm fine. It's just our bodies heal fast so I've never seen a scar on a vampire before. It's weird," I say. My arms wrap around Kadence again. She ran her hand through my hair. My eyes land on Lily. "So who was your ex mate?" I asked. Lily looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Randy," Lily mutters before taking a drink out of her cup.

"Perry?" I asked. Lily nodded.

"How do you know him?" Lily asked. My arms tightened around Kadence.

"The hand I cut off belonged to his son," I say. My eyebrows furrowed. "I'm sorry, I'm glad he rejected you," I mutter.

"Lilith! You can't just say things like that," Kadence shouted. I look at my mate before looking at Lily. Her eyes were wide.

"All I'm saying is he marked Ben's mom as his mate. He was just stringing you along. Once he marked her there was a mate-like bond that grew between them. Even though you were his mate I doubt he would have left her for you-"

"Lilith you should stop talking now," Kadence says.

"No just listen, it's going to sound bad at first but it's not. He wasn't going to give you what you deserve. It sucks knowing you had to go through pain over someone who wasn't worth it. With Cadell, he will give you the world because to a vampire our mates are our world. Like I said before, not every vampire meets their beloved. If they do meet sometimes it can take hundreds of years. Being with your mate is the happiest you'll ever be and to live as long as we do that will give any vampire hope. We will live to see our non vampire friends die but your mate will most likely be by your side. Everything happens for a reason and without being rejected you wouldn't have met Cadell. Don't take him for granted. And if you hurt him then let's just say Brezin and I won't be happy," I mutter. Lily nods while biting her lip.

"I think I understand exactly how my first boyfriend felt meeting my father," Lily says. Cadell smiles while I chuckle.

"But I'm being serious. If you hurt him with your words I get your tongue. Hurt him physically and I get either your hands or feet," I say. Lily's eyes widened. Cadell gave me a warning look.

"Stop threatening my mom," Kadence says. I look at Kadence.

"What if it's a promise and not a threat?" I asked.

"Then you should rethink telling me which one it is or we're going to have a problem," Kadence says. I laugh before nodding my head.

"Relax, I'm just talking shit. But Brezin is loving the idea of having the body parts of the mother of our beloved," I say. Kadence hit me before shoving me away. She was glaring at me. I give her a smile. "I'm joking. I can't hurt your mother Kadence," I say. Kadence shook her head not believing me. Brezin shifted and I let her keep control.

"Lilith is joking we would never hurt your mom. And I don't love the idea of having your mom's body parts," Brezin says. Kadence nods.
