Lilith's pov

The road the elders and I discussed was finally finished. It only took a week. Today was the first day we got the shipment delivered. The vampires liked that they didn't have to travel over fallen trees to retrieve the shipments.

Kadence sat in the kitchen. She was eating breakfast. Zazz walks into the kitchen before immediately walking out.

"Zazz get our ass back in here. Griffin you too. I know you're out there," I say. Both men walked back into the room. I eye them with furrowed eyebrows. They were marked and mated to each other. "Congrats but uh can you explain," I say.

"After Xyla and I broke the bond I found out Zazz was my second chance mate. We didn't say anything until we- well until I knew I wanted to take the next step in the relationship. Because for one I just ditched my first beloved and second who knew I liked guys," Griffin says. I pursed my lips.

"I knew," I mutter. Kadence hit me in the side. "I mean that's fucking great. I'm happy for both of you. Now tell me, are you bottom or top?" I asked. Kadence hit me again.

"They both could be switches like us. Don't forget your bitch ass isn't always a top," Kadence says while shoving food into her mouth.

"How could I forget?" I asked. My eyes trailing over Kadence's body. Kadence's face tints pink. "So do I get to know? Kadence already told you my business, it's only fair," I say with a smile.

"Not happening Lilith," Griffin Laughs. I nod my head. Zazz opens the fridge and gets out some food. Tilly walked into the room.

"Queen Lilith, you have guests," Tilly says. Nezera and Xena walked into the kitchen. They both bow at me before standing straight. Nezera has a smirk on her face.

"Look at you all high and mighty. It seems we missed the coronation. We got here yesterday," Nezera says. Xena wrapped her arms around me. I hug her back before stepping back. Xena wraps her arms around Kadence's shoulders.

"Shut the fuck up Nezera," I mutter. She smiles at me before rolling her eyes.

"So how are you liking it so far? I've seen small changes here and there. I like it," Xena says as she finally lets Kadence go and sits next to her. She faced me while raising an eyebrow. I let out a sigh.

"Honestly it's no different than my training. I was raised to take over. I'm just doing all of it now rather than in chunks. My mother would give me a different job every now and again so I knew how to handle things. As I got older she would give me more jobs at once. It's different in a sense of having all the jobs at once instead of three or four," I shrug.

"You don't seem happy about that," Nezera says. I roll my eyes.

"I've made it known of my disinterest to take over. I was born into the life since I'm the only true heir old enough I'm here until either I have a kid or my brother gets old enough and is trained to take over. The devil's kingdom is going to his daughter which quite frankly she would not make it a week. She's a pathetic demon, how she is going to rule over a whole ass world beats me," I say.

"You really don't like that girl do you?" Xena asked. I raise an eyebrow at her. I haven't told her about Xyla.

"You're cousins like to talk," Nezera states. My eyes flicker to Griffin. He was already walking out of the room. I shake my head.

"No, I don't like her. You wouldn't either if you met her," I shrug. I took care of Kadence's dishes when I noticed she was done eating.

"How are you liking things around here, Kadence?" Xena asked. Kadence smiles briefly.

"It's different, that's for sure. I'm getting used to things. Especially being run from. That's never happened to me before. Why do they run from me?" Kadence asked. I chuckle lightly. My head was shaking back and forth. It wasn't her they were running from.

"The last Queen was a raging bitch. Trust me love. It isn't you per se just your title. Over time everyone will know your true intentions and how chill you are," I state while cupping Kadence's cheek.

"Was your mother really that bad?"

"No, I just exaggerated a shit ton because Of my hatred for her, locking me away my whole life," I mumbled.

"She wasn't a bad ruler. Just a complete bitch, over everything," Nezera states.

"Everything had to be perfect since she was a perfectionist. If she wanted it right she should have done it herself. She was the only one to know exactly how she wanted things," Xena mutters.

"We are gonna leave. We'll see you around," Nezera says. I nod my head. Nezera and Xena both kiss Kadence's cheek before running from the room. Kadence shook her head when I threw a vase at them. The sound of shattering glass and Nezera's laugh fill the air.

"Go clean that up," Kadence demands. My nose scrunches up as I drag myself out of the room and to the broken glass. I was handed a broom and dustpan from Tilly.

"What are you doing?" Talon asked. He had just walked into the castle with his mom.

"Cleaning up the glass I broke because Kadence is making me," I grumbled. Talon chuckles while lightly kicking a large piece of glass towards me. It slid to a stop a few inches away from the large pile of small sparkling shards.

"Your brother is mated. Go bother him," I muttered. Talon's eyebrows drew together.

"Who, when, how?"

"Go see who, last night, I don't think I want to know how," I muttered with a smirk. Jade raised an eyebrow before looking at her son. Talon narrowed his eyes on me before running to find his twin.

"Who is it?" Jade asked.

"Zazz," I mutter. Jade nods her head with a smile.

"Good for him. Zazz is a nice guy," Jade mutters causing me to snort.

"Yeah on Earth. You should have seen him in the underworld." Zazz was completely different on Earth than he was when I first met him. There was a reason Zazz was the leader of the rebellion. He didn't hold back. Once he set fire to Akiran's mansion. The part where Akiran was in. He wasn't caught and Akiran is still trying to find the person who did it.
