Lilith's pov

It was sunday and we leave later tonight. We were all in the library including my cousins. Fae and Zazz were in here. Kadence had a book and was reading it in the corner of the library. Kayla was with her. Ryland, Jack and Rune were gazing at books. They roamed the aisle looking at all the options. My cousins and I sat on top of a bookshelf away from everyone.

"This past weekend was fun," Griffin says. I nod my head.

"It's been a while since we got to hang out like we used to. It was hard adjusting to life without you guys. Now that you are back I'm still struggling to adjust you back into my life," I say. The twins nod their heads. "We graduate soon and then maybe it will be easier," I mumble. My eyes roam around the room. I bite my lower lip.

"You miss it here don't you?" Talon asked. I slowly look at my cousins.

"Yeah I do," I mumble. Is it wrong for me to want to come back? How do I tell Kadence I want us to move here? Will she willingly agree to move here with me?

"You know you can move back. Nobody is stopping you from leaving now. You're not being pressured into taking over the throne anymore," Griffin states.

"Is it messed up that I want to come back?" I asked. My feet swing back and forth as I watch my feet.

"No, this is where you grew up. It's what you knew for years. You finally got to venture out into the world a bit. It's ok to come back to your safe place. The human's lives wasn't as great as we thought it would be. We know that now. You probably figured it out by now," Griffin spoke.

"I made a life out there. I'm starting to realize it's not what I wanted," I say. My cousins look at me. Two sharp inhales cause my cousins and I to turn around. My eyes fell on Kadence and Kayla. Griffin and Talon patted my shoulder before jumping down and running over to the others.

"Kadence that's not what I meant," I say jumping down from the bookshelf. Kayla rushed off to the others leaving Kadence and I alone.

"How did you mean it?" Kadence asked. I reached out to grab her arms but she pulled away from me. She had a frown on her face.

"I'm not leaving you Kadence," I state.

"Do you want to be with me?" Kadence asked.

"Yes, more than anything. I didn't mean for it to sound like how it did. What I want is for us to live here. Me and you, the same as out there but here. I can't really be myself surrounded by humans, love. This place is my home. They don't care what form I am in. I could walk down the street in my demon form and I wouldn't be looked at because I'm not human. I'm surrounded by undead beings. This is my world. I know how that sounds, this isn't your world and you'll probably feel like how I feel in your world. I just don't know what to do-"

"Lilith, relax. Take a breath with me," Kadence says. We take a breath together. Kadence wiped the tears from my cheeks. I didn't even realize I was crying. "I don't care where we are. Sure this might not be my world or what I grew up with but it amazes me. I love it here. It makes you happy. I see how hard you try to make it seem like you don't miss it here but I know. Bond upgrade remember. If this place makes you happy then we'll live here. It doesn't matter where we live as long as we are together. Understood, my love?" Kadence remarked. I forgot about the bond upgrade.

"Yes," I whisper. My arms wrapped around Kadence. She hugged me back. Her hand rubbed my back soothingly. "I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry?" Kadence questioned.

"I didn't tell you sooner," I mumbled. My lips kiss the base of Kadence's neck.

"You should have told me sooner. You weren't happy and I didn't even realize it until we were here and you were trying your hardest not to get too excited," Kadence responded.

"I really do like it here when I'm not forced to be here," I mutter.

"I like it here too," Kadence smiles. "You know when I said it's ok to keep some things private? I meant our sex life not how you are feeling." I laugh, causing me to peck her lips. Kadence smiles at me.

"I love you," I cup her cheek while kissing her forehead.

"I love you," Kadence states.I step away from her and grab her hand. I pull her with me to the others.

"Just so you guys know Kadence and I will be having sex in here later," I say.

"Lilith we just talked about this!" Kadence shouted. She hit my shoulder while glaring at me.

"I'm sorry it just spilled out of me. I can't stop it. It's a need to let everyone know that I will indeed be fucking my beloved," I say.

"So you are the top?" Fae asked. Kadence looked at Fae. Fae raised an eyebrow questioningly at Kadence. Kadence glanced at me before looking back at Fae.

"Her bitch ass is a switch," Kadence mutters. My cousins start laughing. My mouth opened in shock. "Sorry it just came out," Kadence sent me a smirk. I chuckle while tugging Kadence towards me.

"I fucking love you," I state.

"I fucking love me to," Kadence says. I smile down at her. My eyes roam over her.

"Yep, you all should leave the room now," I say. My arm wraps around Kadence's waist and I lift her up. My friends and cousins shove each other trying to get out of the room first. Once I know everyone is out I connect my lips with Kadence's. Kadence wrapped her legs around my waist. Her arms wrapped around my neck. Her nails dug into the back of my neck when I licked and sucked on her mark.

"Lilith!" Kadence groaned. I chuckle as I slowly drag my tongue across her neck teasingly. Kadence's legs tightened around me.
