Lilith's pov
Cadell was sitting on the couch. He was waiting for Lily to return from one of her business trips. She was away for two weeks. She was supposed to be back this morning but her flight was delayed.
"Relax, I can feel your anxiousness from over here and it's pissing me off!" I yelled. Kadence looked over at me with furrowed eyebrows.
"How would you feel if you didn't see me for two weeks?" Kadence asked. I let out a groan. Kadence raised an eyebrow.
"Probably the same as him," I mumble.
"Ok then be quiet," Kadence says. I let out a huff. I continue working on my project. My pencil snaps in half. Kadence looks up at me. I toss the broken pencil onto the table before I pull Kadence out of her chair and onto my lap. "Lilith," she yelped.
"Sorry," I mutter while burying my head into her neck. Kadence wrapped her arms around me and rubbed my back. I breathed in her scent as she calmed me down.
"Why are you so easily irritated today?" Kadence asked. I let out a sigh.
"Because I need to feed," I muttered.
"You should probably go do that then," Kadence says, trying to pull away from me but I tug her back into me. I mind linked Zazz to find me a deer and bring it to me.
"Mm, I'll do it later. I just want to hold you right now," I say. Kadence buried her head in my neck and placed a few kisses at the base of my neck.
My ears pick up on the sound of Lily's car pulling into the driveway. Cadell gets up and rushes outside.
"Finally," I say. Kadence chuckles at me. Lily and Cadell walk into the house. Lily walks into the kitchen while Cadell walks away. He was probably taking Lily's bags to her room.
"You ok Kadence?" Lily asked. Kadence moved her head from my neck and looked at her mom.
"Oh yeah I'm fine. It's Lilith who isn't," Kadence says. I narrow my eyes before standing up and setting Kadence down. "Where are you going?" Kadence asked.
"Zazz is here with my deer," I mutter before walking outside. Zazz handed me the deer and I sank my fangs into it. I drank as much blood as I could before I was full. "Thanks," I say. Zazz nods his head.
"Your dad is looking for you. So when you get the time go see him," Zazz says I nod my head.
"I will later today I will be at the pack today and will swing by after I'm done," I say.
"I'll see you later, Fae and I were going to have a movie night and I don't need her yelling at me for being late. I'll drop this off at Rylands for you," Zazz says before grabbing the deer and flying away. I walk back into the house. Lily was looking at the project Kadence was working on.
"Where is your project?" Lily asked me. I look at her before pursing my lips. I point to my small poster I was working on. It had one word on it. Lily raised an eyebrow.
"I broke my pencil," I say pointing to the pencil.
"Right," Lily says before looking at Kadence questioningly. Kadence and I started our projects at the same time and she was already done with her's.
"You see what happened was I hadn't fed in a week so I was easily irritated and Cadell was fidgeting on the couch and I couldn't stay focused," I say. Cadell walks into the room nodding his head. "Good news while you were gone I got the rooms soundproof. I can now not worry about hearing you guys again. The only moans I will be hearing from now on are from Kadence," I say. Lily shook her head while sighing.
"You really have no filter," Lily mutters before walking out of the room. Kadence glared at me. I gave her a smile and kissed her lips.
"Want to go test how soundproof the room is?" I asked. Kadence shook her head.
"No, Not after you just told my mom that," Kadence grumbled before packing up her school work. I sit down and finish my project.

Rune and I walked into the pack house. I had the jar that held Ben's hand. Jack appeared in front of us causing Rune to jump back. This was his first time coming back since finding out about Jack. It's been a month. Mave was going to reattach Ben's hand but decided she would teach Rune to do it instead so he has been practicing for the past month.
"Sorry, I thought you heard me," Jack says. Rune looked at me. I gave him a nod. We had a talk on the way here about how Jack can be trusted and he won't hurt him.
"Right," Rune muttered. Jack looked at me before looking at the jar in my hands.
"You here for Ben?" Jack asked. I nod my head. Jack's eyes glaze over and Ben comes down a few minutes later. The whole two minutes we were waiting for Ben we all stood in silence.
"What?" Ben asked. I hold his hand up and shake the jar.
"God why are you so weird," Rune mutters with a cringe. I shrug before heading into the kitchen with the guys following me. I open the jar and dump the liquid out before I grab the hand. I hold it out to Rune. "Why?" He mutters before grabbing the hand and Ben's arm. "This is going to hurt," Rune says. Ben's arm opened and his nerves pulled out and searched for the nerves in the hand before attaching to them. Ben groans before the hand is reattached.
"Wow," I mutter. "Just know you touch Kadence again and I'll take both of your hands and I won't return them," I say. Ben looks at me before nodding.
"I would keep from using it for two days. Even though it looks healed it isn't fully healed," Rune says before dropping Ben's hand. Ben nods before taking off. I watch him walk away. "You good?" Rune asked. I stop glaring at Ben's retreating body and look at Rune.
"No, I have never given a limb back. I needed that hand," I grumble.
"No you didn't" Rune says.
"It made me feel better," I say. Rune laughed while shaking his head.
"Of course it did, you took the hand of someone who touched your mate," Jack says. I raise an eyebrow before looking at Rune. I smirk at Jack.
"Want to help me take it back this time?" I questioned Jack. Rune gave me a look.
"Don't even tempt her by saying yes because she will get his hand back and knowing her she'll make you do it so she doesn't get in trouble," Rune says. Jack shrugged like he didn't care. "I touched him!" Rune mutters. I tilt my head and look at Rune.
"Would it be wrong to take your hand then?" I asked. Jack laughed.
"I think it's wrong to take anyone's hand," Jack says.
"You should marvel at the ones you already have," Rune says. I let out a dramatic sigh.
"Alright I'm off to see my dad. You'll be fine right?" I asked. Rune nods his head.
