Lilith's pov

My shoulder leaned against the lockers next to Kadence. She took a notebook from her locker. She turned around and shut her locker with her foot. I lock her locker before following her.

"What is she doing here?" Kadence asked. I looked to see where she was looking. Xyla was walking through the halls.

"How am I supposed to know?" I asked. Kadence looked at me.

"She did go to you when she should have gone to Zazz and Fae," Kadence muttered. Jealousy was written all over her face. I chuckle at her before wrapping my arms around her waist causing her to stop walking. I bury my face in her neck.

"Relax," I say before kissing her neck. I smirked to myself before I slid my tongue across my mark. Kadence's body relaxed.

"Lilith," she whined before elbowing me in the stomach. I took a step back.

"You have no reason to be jealous, my love," I say before kissing her cheek. Kadence narrowed her eyes on me.

"Have you seen her?" Kadence asked. I look at Kadence.

"I probably shouldn't say this but I have seen her, all of her. I'll tell you this right now you are a goddess compared to her. The only one that has my attention is you and will always be you," I mutter. Kadence rolled her eyes.

"I'll see you at lunch," Kadence says before walking away.

I was waiting at the table outside for Kadence, Kayla, and Ryland. Xyla was sitting on top of the table next to me. She leaned back on her hands and had her head tilted back letting the sun bask on her skin.

"So when are you going to show me around the castle?" Xyla asked. I let out a groan and placed my head on the table. We've been out here for ten minutes because our class let out early and she has not stopped talking.

"You already know Griffin will show you around," I mutter. After Xyla got her eyes back she went with Zazz and Fae to the castle to let Talon know Fae was going to be gone in a few days. Griffin is Xyla's mate. Xyla is bisexual so it wasn't a shock to me when she was paired with a male.

"Is it always this cold here?" Xyla asked. I take a deep breath. Kadence's scent enters my nose. "Does it snow here or not?"

Kadence set her tray of food down on the table next to me. I lift my head and look at her. She gave me a small smile.

"Is school almost over?" Xyla says. My jaw clenched before I stood up.

"Xyla, let's get one thing straight if you are going to sit here. Keep your mouth fucking shut or I swear to the gods I will send you back to your father without your tongue. Utter one more goddamn word I dare you," I sneer. Xyla looked at me.

"Who are you?" Kayla asked. Xyla looked at Kayla.

"Xyla, devil's daughter," Xyla says. Kayla glared at her. Kadence must have told Kayla about Xyla. Xyla jumped up from the table and ran when she saw my face. I ran after her before tackling her to the ground. I landed three punches to her face before I was dragged off by the principal. Mr. Keeling moved me away from Xyla. Xyla looked at me with a smirk before spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Miss Void and Miss Volraz, there are humans that attend this school. Let's keep the fighting off school property. You both have detention after school for an hour," Mr. Keeling says before walking away. Xyla pushed herself up from the ground. She wiped the blood dripping from her mouth on the hoodie she was wearing. I walk over to the table and sit next to Kadence.

"You should be nicer to me. We're practically family," Xyla says while sitting back on the table. Ryland was sitting in front of me and Kayla was in front of Kadence.

"We're not going to be family, not even when my cousin puts his mark on you," I mutter. Xyla rolled her eyes.

"Your cousin is her mate?" Ryland asked. I nod causing Ryland to chuckle. "So does he know you slept with his mate?"

"Yes he does and no it doesn't matter to him. It's actually not the first time we slept with the same person," I mutter with a shrug. Recently Griffin has slept with some of the palace staff that I've been with before.

"But this is his forever person. That doesn't bother him?" Ryland asked.

"No, because like you said it's his forever person. He will be her last anything. Griffin doesn't care who she's been with," I say.

"Oh god, how similar in bed do you think you and Griffin are?" Xyla asked. I pinch the bridge of my nose. I pull Kadence onto my lap. I bury my head in her neck and breathe in her scent. Once I was calm I looked at Xyla.

"When you find out, keep it to yourself. I don't want to know. Hell, I don't need to know. Don't compare it because Griffin will care about that," I mutter. Xyla rolled her eyes.

"Obviously, I'm not stupid," Xyla says.

"What will it take for you to be quiet?" I asked. Xyla pursed her lips.

"Get me out of detention," Xyla says. I shake my head.

"120 dollars for you to go make friends with them," I say while pointing to the table full of other students.

"Deal," Xyla says. I pull my wallet out of my pocket and hand her the cash. Xyla got up from the table and left.

"Finally," I say. I looked at Kayla and she was glaring at me.

"That is who you slept with?" Kayla asked. I roll my eyes at her.

"Yes because it wasn't for her personality or looks, it was to anger the devil. Literally had nothing to do with her, just the connection she had to the devil," I say.

"Answer this honestly, is she your type? If she wasn't the devil's daughter would she have caught your eye?" Kayla asked. Kadence looked at me. I look at Kayla with furrowed eyebrows. My eyes shift over to Xyla. I immediately start shaking my head.

"Hell no," I mutter. Ryland laughs before shaking his head.

"Good answer," Kayla says. I look at her before frowning.

"I'm being honest. It isn't an answer to not get in trouble or make Kadence upset. If she wasn't the devil's daughter I would not have given her the time of day," I say.
